Instruction are easy to understand. This item is a tad bit greasy so I opted to put less oil. This is very spicy toward numbing sensation. It's absolutely fun to eat and really warms you up. I had this while camping out in cold and this was enough to warm up my body. I didn't quite like how the noodles stuck to each other after cooking it. I'd suggest you separate the noodles as once they begin cooking, they really stick to each other.

This is a cool idea but to me it just isn’t good. The flavor is just strange as well as the contents. The heating element and everything worked as it should and came just as pictured.

what I experienced was nothing short of transcendence. I felt like I was walking through the gates of flavor heaven and possibly hell.. in one bite. The spice? I was sweating, my eyes were watering, and yet, I couldn’t stop eating. It was like I was tripping on flavor somehow both painful and amazing at the same time. Would highly recommend if you’re looking to experience something… transcendental.

I bought the 3 pack cause i thought this would be a fun little experiment with me and my kids - the reaction of the water, it heating the food, and then we get our reward! The food! And yes, they had fun doing this. That said, i really debate between a 3 and 4 star. We got the heat one, which was the only one available at the time, and... As others have said, it's very bland. Now, THAT said, it's very easy to make it not bland: it's so oily that almost anything you put in it will diffuse very well. I added a small amount of sweet soy sauce, dried/ground garlic, and a lil bit of fish sauce. I could have absolutely added more than just this: but this, in itself, turned a bland meal into something pretty tasty. And, it came with a bunch of veg, and you could EASILY add any fresh veg, as well. So, ultimately, i decided to go with a 4 bc of this fact, that the only drawback i had was the flavor, which was easily corrected. Finally: there is a lot of waste in a kit like this. I could not recommend this as a daily, or even monthly, item if you have access to power outlets. But, for camping? For a one time thing with your children? A few times a year for lunch at work? Sure, yeah.

Saw these on a youtube video, so of course I had to try them. I love the little kit, and it's easy to prepare. It would be fun for a kids sleepover party. Now, I did NOT like the noodles that came with it. Texture is a big deal for me, and the texture of these was very off putting. But the taste of everything was good. The broth is SPICY. I liked it, though. The veggies are good too. I would definitely buy more, maybe a different flavor, or especially if it came with different noodles. Kind of expensive, but I consider it a novelty item for where I live, in Mississippi, USA. If the price was better I'd buy more often and put in my long-term prep supplies for the convenience.

I really wanted to like this, but it was not good at all. Flavor was mostly heat and bland. Veggies were mostly bamboo shoots; hard bamboo not soft. I wouldn't buy this again.

I hesitated at first because these seemed much pricier than my usual dollar store noodles but these are in another class entirely. The self heating feature is great and easy to use, but the quality of the deliciously chewy noodles and the big chunky of fresh veggies and mushrooms make this a full meal. I loved the lotus root in particular. Definitely worth keeping on hand at work for a healthy, boldly spiced lunch.

It was spicy alright, but it was way too oily, even without adding the oil that came in the packet. Didn’t taste good at all, not worth the money
