It’s pencil lead. .7 HB #2 pencil lead, exactly as described. Works well, like normal good quality pencil lead, also is a lot of lead!

Never have to sharpen another pencil. These leads seem to last for a very long time. I keep these in the car, the garage and next to my computer to quickly take notes, etc. Excellent product.

This is nice lead; it glides smoothly and marks well, and doesn’t break easily. >> The only Con is the shameful waste of plastic for marketing purposes. All 90 pieces of lead fit easily into one container with enough room left for a couple more containers. Why not put all 90 pieces in one container and save the landfill? It’s obviously done for marketing purposes, but it’s pretty blatant with this lead. >> Overall it’s good lead for a good price, but I’d rather pay the same price for a single 90 piece tube.
