Water logged
This item was delivered and thrown into 2-3” deep puddle of water in the pouring rain outside my fence , all on security video , luckily it was raining otherwise, somebody might’ve stole it ! So as it laid in the puddle for many many hours, the box has soaked up the water and his product sat underwater for hours. I let it dry out for a couple of days after pouring all the water out of it. And I plugged it in and to my surprise it worked And it is still working weeks later I was going to return it, but it takes too long to get a refund so I’m gonna take the chance since it works and hopefully it stays working so the product is awesome since it runs after being underwate , so I give the product 5 STARS !!! The delivery guy and Amazon I would give only 1 STAR , because the driver didn’t want to get wet so he threw the package in the puddle not even in my yard over my fence outside my yard about a foot from the sidewalk and if it would’ve got stolen they would’ve told me it was delivered And there’s nothing they can do about it unless I make police report Which would be false because it was not stolen on my property because Amazon did not put it inside of my property. Amazon is really getting bad. They used to be good. This is happened many of times in the last year or so. maybe Jeff Bezos should stop taking all the money and pay his Drivers better so they do better !

What else can I add? *Update, almost 10 years later*
Not much to add to the great reviews so far. This thing is great. I have 2 batteries in my boat and 2 in my diesel truck. I installed the plug-in leads on the boat batteries for easy, semi-permanent, solid connecting installation. The clip leads I'll keep here at the house for the truck since that's a short term need. It's easy, light, compact and does the job well. Just plug it in and go and I don't have to worry about weekly trips up to the boat to switch a big clunky battery charger from battery to battery. When I need to top off the truck batteries (it helps keep them healthy) I'll plug it in here and not have to worry about disconnecting the 1 battery I'm going to charge so the other won't leach off it. I can charge both evenly and not put undo draw on the stronger of the 2. I just wish I would have gotten this thing a long time ago!!! Update 10-7-2019 In 3 months this Tender will be 10 years old!! It hasn't missed a lick and for the last 6-8 years this has been kept on my boat constantly on when it's not in the water. It's connected via the plug in pigtails to 2 Optima's. Optima isn't what Optima used to be (only buy Odyssey anymore which are well worth the price) so this tender has kept them healthy. I pull it off and put it on my truck (2 batteries also) every now and then although with Odyssey Extreme's in it now, it hasn't been necessary. I'd consider mounting this Tender in the boat more permanently for more convenience. FYI, I just noticed the price is exactly what it was in 2010 when I bought mine. I'd have expected them to go up, and still, they'd be more than well worth it!!! 5 Stars isn't enough.

Battery tender is the best
I already have a 4-port charger used to keep the motorcycles charged up. Had it for many years. Trouble free. Easy to buy extra connections, extra extensions ,etc. Needed this new 2-port charger to go out for the tractor, mower and generator. Just as good as the 4-port. Already installed in permanent shelf location and charging the equipment. Buy Battery Tender, you won't go wrong.

Battery Tender A-plus
After shopping around for a couple of battery charger/maintainers for two motorcycles that I recently had to replace the batteries on, I came across this double-bank tender. It's perfect and very reasonably priced. It has worked perfectly and I think it will reduce my battery replacement costs. It comes with two of every kind of wiring hook-up you will ever need and is very convenient to set up. I have had a single battery tender plus for about five years and think it's very good. I was tired of switching it back and forth during the winter and with another new bike, this looks like the perfect solution. It's been working perfectly for about a month. I recommend it. Update 03/25/2017: It's springtime in the Rockies again and time to get everything out of hibernation. This double-bank BatteryTender has been working flawlessly for over seven and a half years. All three of my motorcycles came back to life instantly (don't forget how important fuel stabilizer is!) and all batteries are healthy and strong. My battery replacement costs have gone down dramatically since I put a tender on all three. It has worked perfectly for my Shorai lithium battery as well. The double bank tender is easier than messing with two, as long as the bikes are parked near each other. I still highly recommend this product.

Highly Recommend - Effectively Maintain Two Batteries At Once
I have used this charger to maintain batteries in my riding mower, two motorcycles, and two batteries in my F-250 diesel. The two separate charging banks work well. It has indicator lights for each bank that work independently and properly - no 'sharing' of lights leaving you guessing as to the status of each battery. Also, I was on the verge of replacing the two batteries in the F-250 because they had sat in the cold and heat, only getting driven infrequently, over the past two years. They had gotten to where they would barely hold a charge. After hooking them to this Battery Tender, I believe that these batteries have been (at least mostly) 'repaired'. Attaching this charger and slowly charging and de-sulfating these batteries has gotten them to the point where they 'appear' to be as effective and hold a charge as well as ever. I can drive the vehicle and not worry about bringing along a charger and/or cables, 'just in case'. The same is true for all my other batteries - the engines all start as though they have a new battery in them by using this two bank Battery Tender. I feel like this unit has more than paid for itself versus the cost of replacement batteries. Recommendation - if you have more than two batteries to maintain, buy extra battery leads so that you can easily alternate this unit to all of the batteries. I have had great success alternating this unit between four batteries (three-four days between switching). Updated 11/08/2009 - since I have been so satisified with this unit, and I now have more travel coming up, I said the heck with it and bought another one - Amazon's price made this a no-brainer. Now I don't need to alternate the charger between batteries - they are all covered!

Works Good For Two Motorcycles. High quality and has all the accessories you should need to use
Used to keep two motorcycle batteries charged between rides. PRO Works well and fast to keep motorcycle batteries fully charged Cables to battery are long enough to connect to 2 motorcycles parked from to back Cables are medium to high quality Fit of cable connectors is firm and good Unit base looks high quality Green LEDs lights are easy to see and signal charge state and issues (Yellow LED) Unit housing is black plastic and has feet that could be used to mount unit to a wall or table for permanent fixed use Comes with all the accessory cables you should need for use Box and packing is well made for safe damage free shipment CON Power cable from main unit to AC plug in seems short to me for many Garage outlets. Works but not great. LED lights can only be seen from the front of the main unit. Side and top views cannot see charge information Cost is about the same as two single units that may have more flexibility in placement and use Instruction are printed so small of print forget trying to read it with normal eyes. Even with reading glasses. Either go on line to view it or do what I did, take a photo of the pages of the instructions and view them on a larger PC or Tablet screen

Nice system
I like this system, being able to leave a harness attached to the battery permanently, being able to buy extensions to the leads, being able to disconnect the charger and reconnect it easily. I was looking for something to make keeping a charge on my lawn tractor easier. In order to access the battery I had to actually remove the hood, inconvenient, and risking breaking something each time. With this there's a connector peeking out from under the hood, I simply plug it in. With two pieces of equipment, this system is perfect. I bought an extra battery harness in anticipation of keeping another battery charged throughout the winter. Here's some info on the system that may help you. The power cord to the unit is about 6' long (you'll probably need an extension cord) and is polarized 2-prong. It comes with 2 harnesses and 2 clip-ons. The harnesses have .335" holes in their attachments, so the bolt you use to attach to the battery, or the battery posts themselves, need to be 5/16" or smaller, or else you'll need to modify things. The leads from the charger that go to either the harness or the clip-on rig are about 4 1/2' long, the harnesses are about 21", and the clip-ons about 24". For the harness, see where you would like to have the connector plug located, and measure to the FARTHEST battery terminal... you have 21" or less to work with. I got mine with one 12' extension and one 25' extension, and one extra harness. NOTE: I think most of these electronically controlled units WILL NOT charge a dead battery, they don't know for sure that they are connected properly, so won't turn on the charging cycle. Fortunately I have a very old non-electronic charger to get a battery started on those rare occasions... like leaving a dome light on in a car for a few days. This unit is one of those that is not intended for use with a dead battery.

Works Great at Maintaining My Batteries
This unit charges and maintains two 12 volt batteries at once. I'm using it to maintain the charge of both a marine battery that I use for my travel trailer, and also the battery for my Craftsman garden tractor. The unit is nicely compact and takes up less space and one less 110V outlet in my garage tan would two separate units. It has the 'three stage' micro-processor controlled charging program that works independently for each of the two batteries. My results so far are really great. This unit--like the other Battery Tender charges--is much 'smarter' than a cheap trickle charger or than a regular battery charger from a few years ago. You connect this unit to the batteries and leave it without worrying that your batteries will become overcharged or damaged. I do check battery electrolyte levels every two or three weeks just to be sure that the level is not getting too low, but thus far am seeing no sign that this unit is causing my batteries to evaporate electrolyte unduly. When I take the batteries off the Battery Tender and meter the voltages at the terminals, they are fully energized and ready to go to work. The Battery Tender is keeping my batteries in shape and ready to work with a minimal amount of work on my part and no worry of battery damage due to overcharging. Well worth the price in my book!
