Finally one that actually works!
This is the 3rd ESC that I purchase from Amazon. I returned the first 2 and here is why: First - Readytosky 40A: I ordered this one because following the rule of thumb, it is always recommended to use an ESC with a lot more amperage than needed just to be safe. This one worked great in terms of mixing. Turning while stopped and in motion was great. Unfortunately after a few minutes it just quit. If I was lucky, after several hours it would work again just for a few minutes. Issue was not related to overheating because some times it would not work on the first try of the day. This ESC was cheap compared to others in the same range. I guess you get what you pay for. Second - Kingmodel 10AX2: This one was stable. Did not cutout or quit. However mixing was not good. After certain speed it just would not turn. This is kind of normal in this tank type vehicles but in this case, vehicle would have to be basically stopped for turning most of the time. Third - FPVKing 5A (this one): This ESC has good reviews as opposed to the others, however I did not go with this one since the beginning because I was not sure 5A would be enough, but so far it has been great! It is very stable, no disconnections or cutouts whatsoever. Mixing is great, it turns while stopped, low speed or high speed (a bit less which is normal). I tested a few batteries before reassembling the car and did not feel too much heat. The purpose of this ESC is to replace the old Radio Shack receiver and ESC combo. It was old and was not proportional which I don't like. I installed a Traxxas receiver and with this ESC it works like a charm. In the video I show how smooth the driving is at all speeds. I hope this information helps. I was trying to find detailed reviews after the first 2 ESCs failed and just found a few which definitely were decision points to try this third one.

Works as an improvised ecs on a consumer toy
The radio tx on my son’s megalodon hot wheels rc car broke so I improvised and got this little guy and paired it with an off the shelf radio control. Works like a charm. The car works more like a tank so this ecs was perfect.

Best ESC for the Dashex Z2 1:24 MOA
[Update] - while good, the rear motor on my rig continues to stall out so I kind of think the 5A is a little under powered. Mixing capability is fully functional with it, however. A+ on that. Easy to set up. No stall out for the dual N20 motors. This provides the sufficient amount of current with no problems at all. Fully 3s compatible.

I added too much power for this one oops
Working great till I added a bigger battery. Suddenly I had a blue light where I only had red and green before. I’m guessing Blue means blown. No longer any power coming out to motors. My fault

Purchased 3 and every one of them did not work properly.
I tried using these with planetary gear motors and they all had a weird control characteristic. When I input full forward and reverse or right and left, they worked fine. But when you started to mix forward or reverse with right or left the motors would begin to rotate in the proper direction, but then suddenly reverse for some reason. This strange operation happens on all 3 speed controllers making them useless.

Almost perfect 👌
Seems to be working great so far. One complaint though. This esc is set up for forward and reverse direction so its really not ment for a plane, probably better for a tank or something. To get it to work in my plane I had to only use one output and also reverse polarity in controller with limiting throttle switch control so it won't turn backwards. Bench testing seems to work, haven't finished this build yet. You can see in the video that it only turns on half way up the throttle stick, because this esc is not designed for a plane.

Bidirectional esc
I've used this esc on a bobcat and a tank an it works great! I'd only use a 2s battery though. My opinion

Nice ESC for tank type vehicle
Used this for a small tank kit on RC. Unique in that it has the channel mixing and dual ESCs to run the setup without anything fancy in the radio transmitter. Works great, just as advertised.
