Dog is walking with her head low wearing this. Is this normal for a dog who is not used to wearing a cone?

Yes it is very normal for them to walk with their head down just because they can’t see on the sides of them and all around so they are trying to move their head where they can see where they’re walking. Depending how long they have to wear it they do get a little more used to it. I would suggest when you’re walking them on a leash to take it off because they can’t bite or lick the wound when you have hold of them

Yes this collar is soft to reverse to cover the neck.

Will it flip backwards when a dog goes through a doggie door?

Yes it could flip back going through a dog door. I did Not let mine go through the dog door while they were wearing it. It is still the best cone I have ever seen they can lay down and sleep with their head actually on it and it’s very comfortable. I flip it back for them when they eat or drink and it makes it very easy to just flip it back the other way when they’re done
