This is the second pack of Teckin Smart plugs we've bought and we're really pleased with them.They are a doddle to set up using the Smart Life and Alexa apps and work really well.They don't block the socket on/off switch as some do and aren't too bulky.Haven't had them long so can't comment on reliability but they feel robust and come with a one year warranty.I've made a video of 3 plugs, linked together as a Group, switching the lights on and off in our lounge. Its great not to have to go round switching each individually when we decide to watch our projector.I've also used one to switch an old Denon mini-system, linked to an Echo Dot, off and on in our kitchen. The Dot is plugged into the line input of the Denon so I can control what we want to listen to via Alexa, play via the mini system and switch everything on/off via the smartplug.

Purchased this recently after having bought a single smart plug of the same brand. These are great value - they're solid and sturdy and small. They easily fit into my cable management box which I now use to house my, often messy, cables and extension plugs. Also, they don't look out of place directly on a plug socket so I am now starting to place them everywhere in the house in order to fully automate the devices which we would like to control by app when away from the home or by voice when at home.Speaking of the app, integration with the it is simple. Plug in the smartplug and pair it up with the (excellent) Smart Life accompanying app. This will allow you to be able to control the turning on/off the plugs from your mobile, set up schedules and timers, etc... Going a step further, add the Smart Life "skill" to the Alexa app, which will allow Alexa to be able to see the device and effectively allow you to voice control it, which is what I have done. I can now voice control my smart plugs and other devices via my Amazon Echo device.All in all, these are a great set of plugs and I will look to buy more.

These Teckin Smart Plugs are pretty much everything you would expect them to be. The mouldings are of a very good standard and the design is such that they do not foul a standard UK 3 pin plug socket. Set-up is quick and easy, and all three new plugs were quickly discovered on their first time of being powered up. I already had a previous installation using the Smart Life app, and therefore I did not need to enter any details for our wi-fi (2.4Ghz required). From opening the packet to putting the plugs into use was probably less than ten minutes all told.We use them to control our living room uplighters, and when paired with Alexa the simplicity of turning the lights on and off, either individually or as a group is second to none. The Smart Life app also features a very good programmable timer function which allows us to have the lights coming on and off as many times as required throughout a scheduled period, perfect for when we are away on vacation.No hesitation in recommending these smart plugs, they do what they are designed to do straight out of the box!

I received the Smart Plugs today.They were easy to set up and work well with the Smart Home App on my Android Phone and also with Alexa.My mobile phone needed to be connected to the 2.4 GHz WiFi signal from my router during the initial configuration of the Smart Plugs. Once the configuration was completed everything works fine whether my mobile is connected to the 2.4 or 5.0 GHz WiFi signal. It also works completely remotely from my mobile when I'm away from home.I'll be using them to control power from a couple of mains sockets where the switch on the mains socket is difficult to reach and also to automate the switching on and off of lights in the house when we're away.I've had two of an earlier model of the Teckin Smart Plugs for about 18 months now, both of which work very well.

Comes well packed with good presentation. These are very easy to install. The moment I plugged one in it was already flashing ready for set up. You literally download the smartlife app and press the plus sign at the top right then you are able to add the plug easily. I like that the plug doesn’t block the on/off switch on the wall socket and can also be used on my extension cord but it’s not too bulky. There’s lots you can use these for. Firstly there’s a heater I’m always worried I’ve left on when I go out, I’ll set one of these plugs on timer to make sure it’s turned off in the morning when I leave. Also these will be great for my nans house. I don’t live with her and she’s not mobile, sometimes she will call me frustrated she can’t turn off the tv or she wants the small heater turned on or even the bedside light on. I can do it all remotely with these now. Well done Teckin all I need now is a reliable WiFi doorbell so I can see who knocks on her door if you are planning on making other WiFi products. :)

These smart sockets are great to replace the old mechanical timer sockets for controlling lamps and anything else you can plug into a 13 amp socket. Using the Smart Life app on your phone or tablet they can be quickly connected to your home wifi. Then you can set up schedules for them to switch on and off, or switch them manually from the app or using Alexa. They connected automatically to Alexa. They can be grouped by home and room, and can be controlled remotely over the internet. The Teckin units are well built and compact and leave access to the socket switch. So far they have been reliable. Great value as well at about £10 each.
