YES YES YES. This is a quality product. I just can't say enough.
I have been an educator for 25 years. I have to say this is one of the best tools for educating programing available. It educates through every learning mode. There are many ways in which the gratification of learning is achieved. Students will benefit from video tutorials, and written explanations. All the aspects of actual program are the experience. This is a first class product that was undoubtably written by educators and programmers cooperatively. My nine year old daughter was elated. Seeing that joy of learning and how proud she was while showing others her coding.Straight quality.

Basic programming for kids
My eight year old grandson got engrossed in this immediately. Because he has had some programming experience already, he was able to work independently. While he was working, he was obviously enjoying himself because every once in a while, he was laugh about what he was doing. He changed the sound effect from a siren to a song, and that made him laugh. This "toy" is worth the money.

Nice but need a few components
Got this yesterday for my son to start learning to code. Most cards state to connect the rainbow wire connection tor the LEDs. That is not included. Luckily I have one for my breadboard. Be nice to have all the components match the coding cards.

Better than I expected
When we first got it I thought it didn’t look like there was all that much in the box until I realized most of the instructions are on the software. Since it’s a coding kit instead of a “electronic circuit” kit, much of what the kids are doing is changing the computer programs. For example, with the speaker the kids learn to make it beep, then make it sound like a siren, then make a piano, then play a song, so it’s many projects with similar electronics. I thought that was good since it is supposed to focus on coding skills, not circuit building. Highly recommend!

Not much tech or quality gadgetry for the money, but my 10yo really seems to be getting into it.
Some of the components aren't that high-end, such as the retractable USB cable, which broke the 2nd day. Also, the green LED light is pretty weak compared to the other lights. The idea of thinking I paid so much for cheap components doesn't make me feel excited or good about my purchase. That being said, I can't say I regret my decision either. My kid is really excited about this set and this is helping him to take his coding to the next level. He started with Hour Of Code last year, and while that helped him to get the basic idea of coding, this is actual coding, and the basic layout and the online tools provide strike a good balance of making the user think on their own to solve a puzzle while helping guide them when certain challenges come along. So if your kid wants to learn to code, this is a great way to facilitate that.

Easier entry point than Arduino
I had previously bought one of the Arduino-style kits for my 10 yo nephew. He's pretty techy, but we got so bogged down with setting up drivers and following the poorly written instructions that it put a damper on his enthusiasm.I decided to try again and bought this kit as it promised to come with software and focus on instruction. It delivered! The instructional videos and examples in this kit's software made it so much easier for him to get started and to get excited about making stuff.

Great start if your child has never coded with un-intimidating language to pique their curiosity.
I bought this for my nephew who's entering his first year of high school and will probably lead to some type of engineering degree later in college. I like that's there's a lot of projects to keep him interested before we end up buying him more parts as imagination gets him into larger and more complicated projects. It's a great start and there's online help if he ever has any questions. While it may seem like trivial tasks, learning to problem solve will only help him as he grows older regardless of what type of career path he chooses. I'm excited to see what he can come up with!

Missing
I did not receive all of the items. I received the Base Kit 2, but nothing else. I am missing the instruction book. I would NOT recommend this product. It is overly expensive for not receiving all the items in the description. If I receive the missing items, I will update this review.
