Good headphone connector
I recently bought a new Korg Liano, it’s a great lower priced, full 88 keyboard with semi weighted keys. It has USB MIDI IN/OUT, which is great. Also, the back panel includes a Line Out, which in higher end keyboards would consist of a 1/4 inch (6.35mm) TS (mono) or TRS balanced (stereo) male jack, to play through an amp or powered speaker. The Liano has built in speakers but can be played Line out as well, however it’s through the Headphone jack (3.5mm). A headphone jack is smaller and not as robust as the larger, obviously. This chord is a a great benefit to save wear and tear on the installed port. As another review stated, the weight of the inserted 1/4” will be less on contact. Also, it appears well made by a reputable brand.

Solid, better than cheap adapters, real Sennheiser part
The 1/4" plug seats smoothly and securely, and the small cable keeps the weight of the 1/4" plug from damaging the 3.5mm socket. The design is perfect. The cheap 1/4" to 3.5mm adapters typically have the entire mass of the 1/4" plug and the adapter prying at the 3.5mm socket. This will damage it over time or very quickly if you bump into it. The cheap adapters also can be rough or excessively tight when plugging in the 1/4" plug. This adapter is sized perfectly for the 1/4" plug to be inserted smoothly and securely, and it is well worth the extra bit of money.

Great sound quality preserved with a properly built connector.
You buy one of these if you need to transfer great sound to your mid-range to even higher end headphones which many times come with 1/4" jacks that need reduction. This one is reasonably priced and does the job with no real noticeable difference in sonic degradation.

Great product and quality!!!

Pretty standard stuff
No issues. It works. Makes noise as required through the connection. I haven’t measured the signal to determine the signal to noise ratio, but it sounds good with my gear.

Best Adapter Yet
I spent MONTHS (no kidding, months) with el-cheapo audio adapter. I changed to crappy bluetooth headphones twice, but both of them were worse than my corded ones. Then I decided to plunk down some money and buy this adapter. Now, get this, my headphones work! This has a small male end that fits into a smart phone or laptop. I don't know the size, but it's the most common headphone jack on the planet. The other side is the female end that fits larger "studio style" headphone jacks. You know, the old style headphone jack that you used to plug into your record player. The bigger headphone jack. Many of the competing products here on Amazon had weird measurements and were meant for some cord style no one has ever used. This one fits the 2 most common headphone sizes in the world. I like to call them "Large" and "Small" but I'm sure audiophiles would have actual measurements for them.

Much better than the default adapter that came with my HD518s
Bought this in an emergency after the tip of the 3.5mm adapter for my HD518s broke off. I must blame that on my own clumsiness, though that default adapter is HUGE and quite difficult to get out of the back of my PC. I ended up bending it twice and have to force it back into position with pliers. Definitely won't have the same problem now; this comes out and around the corner like butter. Ordered from Audio Equip and it arrived right on time, with sparse packaging in a cardboard envelope. I was a little worried because the envelope looked like it just walked out of a bar fight, but the adapter was fine. No markings on the product, but the little baggy had a Sennheiser sticker on it. Surely legitimate! Adapter, end to end, measured about 9 and 1/8th inches. May or may not vary slightly. 6.3mm end snapped in very satisfyingly, like munching on a delicious, flavored pretzel bite. With the skinny 3.5mm end I can finally put plug my headphones into my speaker setup for convenience and a little more freedom of movement. Sound is just as fine to me as the default adapter. I must say that the cord felt lighter and much more flexible than my headphones' cord. Same thickness though. May not be as durable, but it's pretty short so I don't expect it to get much wear and tear. I will update as soon as anything goes wrong with it. I could have gone with something cheaper, probably would have been just as sufficient, but I felt safer going with a brand I know makes high quality products. Though the Grado adapter was a little cheaper (possibly better quality??), it did look chunkier, something I was trying to avoid due to how my ports are shaped.

Worth the premium
I needed an adapter to connect my Fostex TH-900 headphones to my MacBook Pro. Usually, premium-brand cables and adapters are just snake oil, so I went for the super-cheap Monoprice 3.5mm to 1/4 Adaptor . Sadly, this was no bargain. It fit loosely in the MacBook Pro jack and produced noticeable distortion. Entire frequency ranges wavered in and out as I adjusted it, trying to get the right fit. The Sennheiser adapter, by contrast, worked swimmingly. It's a perfect fit on both ends, and my music comes through loud and clear. So if you need this kind of adapter, skip the knockoffs and go with a brand you can trust.
