The EK-RES X3 reservoir from EK CSQ design line is an improved version of renown EK-Multioption RES X2 reservoirs released previously. Compared to EK-Multioption RES X2 product line the EK-RES X3 reservoirs feature improved inlet/outlet port configuration for easier and more straightforward fitting configuration and tube routing. Improvements have been made on the reservoir's bottom terminal which has been optimized for best flow. Vortex occurrence has also been diminished by the use of enclosed anti-cyclone as well as additional PE foam. All these new features result in easier-than-ever mounting, filling and quickest bleeding of air. Reservoir is manufactured of premium quality 60mm acrylic tube and POM Acetal end caps. The sealing is performed by quality EPDM rubber washers. New RES X3 comes with a pair of EK design reservoir holders using adjustable fastening force controlled by enclosed Allen key. Nice res, would have liked a top port.
Some people complain about the 'plastic' plugs. Use a plastic screwdriver (or something similar) and you won't have an issue. Yes if you hit it with a metal screwdriver you'll leave blemishes.Overall I like it, works well, no leaks, rarely will you need the foam anti vortex which it includes as an option. Assuming you use the stand up EK anti vortex plate. I've not tried it with nothing, might work out.

Make sure you buy the added mounting bracket or have a drill, also included plugs are GARBO, otherwise fantastic.
High quality product, its mounting system is less than desirable and required drilling into my case, no "universal" solution provided. Although thats not the reason for the one less star, the reason i didn't give 5 stars is that the "plugs" provided are LOW quality plastic and garbage, turning them for tightening lead to deformation and therefore a blemish. the o-rings in the plugs are loose and not the perfect fit i see with the metal plugs i bought to replace the Garbo ones.

I still have this Res and it seems to work great, no cracks on it yet and it seals pretty well. I have used it on 3 builds so far and still holding Currently I have the glass part installed on the X3 100 version base since it is attached to my D5 water cooling pump. As you can see on the picture it is currently running on my case. Looks amazing and it does a fine job.
