I used these when adding 1 amp fuse to fluorescent light being converted to LED BULBS, worked well.

Product worked great for an in-line fuse for changing a ballasted fluorescent light out with direct wired LED lamps. The lamps require a 250V in-line 1amp fuse. These work great for that purpose and were easy to wire into the circuits that feed the 4-4’ LED lamps with bi-pin sockets. With the in-line fuse, if the lights draw too much current the fuse will blow instead of the circuit breaker that supplies this light and other circuits. Nice product for the price, and I would definitely order again!

This is a great little fuse kit which provides 150 common fuse sizes and 10 in-line fuse holders of 16 gauge wire with the ends pre-stripped for you. Simply choose your fuse size from the tray and pop it into the fuse holder and screw it shut. Then connect the whole thing into the line you are protecting. There is a table built into the card on the lid of the box that holds the fuses and it tells you what fuse is in each little compartment. It seems backwards to me though, so be sure you get a magnifying glass and verify the fuse size on the actual fuse itself to be sure you are understanding the table correctly and picking the right fuse size. The fuse size is written on each fuse in very small impression writing, but checking in this way will keep you safe with the correct fuse for your situation. The fuse holders seem well made and with tight springs and they screw down positively. Recommended.

I needed a bunch of 1 amp in line fuses while changing out my 4 foot fluorescent tube lights for LED's with direct wiring. The ballasts were 55 years old and some were leaking oil and 1/2 of them or more just wouldn't work. I found some great tube GE LED's which allow the user to select one of three color temperatures from yellow to bright light and also work with or without ballasts. The instructions with the LED's suggested optional 1 amp inline fuses, so I got these. They were easy to install and seemed of good quality. On one overly complicated fixture with two tubes I messed up the wiring and caused a short in the fixture. The 1 amp fuse blew as expected, preventing the circuit breaker from tripping and any damage to the other LED in the circuit. So, highly recommend. I needed a couple of extras fuses so I went to a big box store. Not only were they many times (at least 10x) more expensive than these, the big box store was sold out of 1 amp fuses. The worker in the store checked inventory in two other of their big box stores in the area. They didn't have any 1 amp fuses, either. So, I ordered this items a 2nd time. So, happy customer.

Holders are well made and the pigtails are 16 AWG. I also tested two of the fuses and they behaved as they should. I've seen comments and videos criticizing fuses of this kind from China, by people who don't understand how these fuses work. They seem to think that a 1 amp fuse should blow at any current above 1 amp. Not so. For readers here who are not clear on how fast-blow glass cartridge fuses like 3AG and 5x20mm behave, here's how they must perform to be within spec: 1.) The fuse must carry the rated current indefinitely. 2.) It must carry 110% of rated current for at least 60 minutes. 3.) At 200% of rated current, it must blow within ten seconds. One video I saw nicely demonstrated the above behavior, but the narrator complained bitterly that the fuses were junk and unsafe. Note that fuses are designed to work at DC and low frequency AC like 60 Hz. If you plan to fuse speakers, you must do some bench testing. Even at audio frequencies, skin effect changes fuse behavior a lot. Also, fuses with round elements versus flat elements behave differently at audio frequencies and higher. There are no specifications for this. You have to do your own tests on the bench to find a fuse type that does what you want.

Great price and had everything I needed + more, haven't had any issues with the wires either, they're a bit stiff but do the job.
