All Things Quilting with Alex Anderson: From First Step to Last Stitch

This is a great book. I purchased it because it was required for a quilting class I wanted to take. But I haven't had time to take the class. I just followed the directions in the book for appliqué and for methods of quilting. My baby blanket turned out beautiful. I got great tips I would not have thought of from this book. I have sewn for years, but have not quilted.

Just started quilting and this is an amazing resource. I am not patient enough for classes and this has helped me greatly.

The only quilting book that I know of that gives step-by-step right and left hand illustrations. It is an awesome tool for teaching others (including young people or those who have never sewn). A great investment!

A very clear book that covers the basics exceedingly well. Great for beginners and more experienced quilters alike. Alex draws on her wealth of experience and teaching to assist. It is very attractive in its presentation and clear in its instruction.

This is everything you would expect from the doyenne of quilt teaching. For seasoned quilters, this book summarises all the things you learned and maybe some you've forgotten. For the novice, it has very clear pictures and diagrams to back up the explanations.
