This training hands free leash is great for walking or jogging with your dog. The unique bungee design provides you with greater control for two reasons. First, as the bungee expands it will provide additional resistance itself. Second, the strap is attached to your waist giving you more control that if you were holding it in your hand. The reflective stitching is highly visible and adds a great deal of safety if you like to walk or jog in the evening or early mornings. The waste strap is adjustable from 26” to 40” but is most comfortable with a couple of inches to spare. The overall construction of the leash is guaranteed against all types of weather. The light-weight design of this leash makes it perfect for dogs and even cats. This is the perfect leash even for dogs with high energy and is the perfect training tool when you are trying to first teach your dog to heal. It is really great because it will free up your hands and allows you to focus on other things while you are out with you dog because your waist and the leash will work together to keep you dog at your side.

Love to run with my dogs again!
I LOVE THIS LEASH! I have been running with my oldest lab for years. Last year we got a lab/golden retriever mix and I had started running with her, but she's still in "training". I use no-pull harnesses for both dogs, but the pup is still in the stage where she wants to chase squirrels or other dogs so using a regular style leash with her was quite the shoulder/arm workout. My lab is a tank (short, stout and very strong) but very steady and well trained and runs to my side about a step ahead of me (just where I want her to be). The lab would get frustrated with the pup towards the end of my runs and pull us both backward slowing her pace unless I unhooked her from the retriever/lab mix. With this new leash, I attached both dogs to the bungee end via the included metal clip to the metal rings on their harnesses and went for a 4 mile run. It took a few verbal cues to the retriever/lab mix as she would drift into my running path when distracted but she quickly and easily corrected and DID NOT pull me at all, but rather ran just to the side of me in tandem with the lab. It was the best run I've had with both dogs ever! The leash is well constructed and had no problem handling the load of my 80 lb. well trained lab and 45 lb. energetic pup who is still learning. I'm female and chose to secure the waist portion of the leash around my hips (which helps with running form if there were any tugging and provides a more secure and stable portion of the body as anchor point). This worked very well and I never felt a loss of control or a bit of discomfort. I run early mornings and the reflective stitching was brighter than I thought it would be. Overall this is an excellent well made product and did not feel flimsy or cheap in any way.

Leashes are 5 star, belt, not so much.
I bought two of these so I would have two of the bungee leashes to connect both of my dogs. The D rings that are on the belt part are held into place with a small plastic piece (to keep them separated so each dog is on one side of you) well, one of the plastic pieces busted with one strong pull from my pup (squirrel?!). It still works ok, and hasn't changed the challenge of using this with two dogs. Mine are young and rowdy at the start of our walk and move from side to side, so it is a bit of a dance with keeping them where they need to be. The only other plastic piece is the part that cinches the belt to the size you need it. I have found that this slips a lot with the pups pulling. I am not a tiny person, so I can deal with the belt at full extension, but I can see this being an issue for a smaller person that needs the belt to fit them. I do love the leashes themselves, they are really well made, i just see an opportunity for improvement with the belt.

One of the best things I've bought off amazon.
Let me start off by saying that if you're considering buying this to go out for a run or walk with your dog, don't think about it anymore and just buy it. I was a bit skeptical when viewing this item on Amazon, I wasn't sure how well it would work, or if it was even a good idea to have the leash wrapped around your waist. But after a few runs with my dog I fell in love with this, the leash is not too short or too long, it keeps you and your dog at a decent distance from eachother. The leash with the stretchy part really helps take the impact of your dog pulling on it, although I wouldn't trust it to take the impact of a great dane or bull mastiff chasing after a cat or something, I found that it does absorb a decent amount of the shock when my dog decides to take a quick sniff or gets distracted and stops. I can't think of anything that I dislike about this product. It is made with good durable material.

Such a helpful leash!
I was a little nervous buying a running leash, especially since there are so many brands out there. I found this one and went with it, and I am glad I did. This leash works great! I use it with my 52lb dog in his harness and he runs right with me. I run on a pretty quiet street, but if there is a car, there is a built in handle (which is kind of hidden so it isn't bothersome if you aren't using it) so I have better control of my dog which is great. He has lunged at a squirrel when I was unaware, but I really didn't get jerked, he felt the pull and just kept running with me. I was a little nervous about the clip but I am very confident in it. I am not sure I would run with both of my 50 lb dogs hooked on, but it works so great with the one.I have also used this leash while hiking. If I need my dog to be close to me I put him on the leash, but when he can go off leash, its easy to unhook him and carry the leash with me.

belt was very comfortable (I was worried about that
belt was very comfortable (I was worried about that!). it didn't work well with my little dog (18lbs) because he likes to get a bit farther out on the trail to sniff. But my lager dog (50lb) worked very well with it (although she wanted to make me RUN with it when I just wanted a casual stroll!!). The belt did come unclipped the first time I used it and the little dog pulled, but I think that was just user-error and I didn't clip it in very well. It didn't happen again the rest of the time we were out. I was also able to clip my doggy accessory bag to it.

This is awesome!
I have a 45-50 pound shepherd mix. She just turned 3. I never really went on walks with her much because for the first 2 years I've had her she had a play mate. A 7 year old pit bull who acts like a puppy. Well we have moved and she developed major separation anxiety. My vet recommend that I exercise her. When I walk with her she tugs and pulls. She isn't a huge dog so she isn't dragging me, but it was pretty annoying. The first day I got this the tugging was completely fixed. It took her about 5 mins to realize she couldn't do it anymore and now easily walks by my side!

Great running leash
Great running leash. Perfect length so my dog isn't stepping and tripping on it as we walk or jog. The bungee part seems to work and I don't get tugged as much as I did with my other running leash. Has 2 clips if you need to attach another dog to it as well.

Make sure you triple check that the waistband buckle is ...
Make sure you triple check that the waistband buckle is secured. It unbuckled three (3) separate times when I was running with my dog. Two times out of the three, she almost got hit by a car, because she was scared of the sound the waistband was making dragging on the floor. There was just slight tension between the leash and the waistband and the buckled popped opened. Too risky for high traffic areas.
