Love it
I think one reviewer said not well built for a contractor type work. Maybe so but I found it to be well made, sturdy and easy to use. I had a very small and fine wire that had been chewed through. I had to cut, strip and then splice them together. Using the tool it was easy to adjust and stripped the small wire perfectly. I think it is a great buy.

It will strip back wires on those flimsy test leads to your electrical wires in your home.
This is a great wire stripper for all size wires. It will strip back wires on those flimsy test leads to your electrical wires in your home. I really got it for cutting back electrical wires when I put in new outlets in my home, it does a nice job. I was really impressed when I used it to strip back those flimsy tests leads I used in my hobby electronics projects, that's why the 5 star rating.m

Great deal if you're looking for automatic strippers/crimper combo!
I have used every function these strippers have to offer and I'm really happy with it. My one gripe is that it seems to slip on some wires which requires me to hold the gripping jaw closed with my free hand. This design allows you to strip wires quickly, and the guide allows you to quickly set the depth. I do worry about the quality of the red adjustable stopper because it's plastic and sometimes it gets in the way. That can be resolved by unlocking it and extending it outwards. A few times, a piece of insulation gets stuck in the inner workings and stops it from functioning, but you can tip it over and the loose piece will fall out. Otherwise, the build quality feels great. It's sturdy and the handle design that includes various sized crimpers has proven to be handy. I can't attest to the longevity of the blades, but I'm sure they'll last a while.

Great value.
Seems to be high quality and working almost as well as the expensive ones. Definitely good enough for home hobby use

Beware No Warranty - Failed on 2nd Use
Failed on the second wire I used it on. It worked perfectly on the first wire I tried and then it will not clamp hard enough anymore to strip any of the other wires I attempted. Unfortunately there appears to be only a 30 refund/replacement period with no warranty so I’m out of luck. Beware.

Not near as good as I hoped
Packaging OK, stripped 18 and 20 gauge speaker wire just fine, the adjustment as one reviewer put. It is very flimsy being all plastic but if you’re not moving around a lot, it should last a while. The adjuster is plastic with bumps on it as stops, so I imagine the more you move it around the bumps will wear out and it won’t have positive stops Anymore. The diagonal cutters are what really failed, if you look at the one picture you’ll see it cut 90% through but I still had to get a knife out to finish it every time. If you look at the other picture, you’ll see the light gap where they don’t close and meet fully. Unfortunately I’ll be returning these for a pair of Klein brand for the same price, I trust their name, a little better than this one.

They sell themselves short!
The product page says that the thinnest wire it will strip is 24 gauge (.51mm) but I have need to strip 28 gauge (.32 mm) wires, significantly thinner. I tried it with those skinny wires anyway, and what do you know? It works great on the 28 gauge wires! I will say that the instruction sheet is not very helpful in general. But the videos make up for that. And you cannot beat the price. The identical tool at Home Depot costs $22, more than twice as much.

Good performance for the price
Works pretty well. Has a tendency to strip the wrong side of the wire. Can't really complain for the price.

Très bonne pince polyvalente.
Pince très pratique qui concentre toutes les fonctionnalités pour s'occuper d'un câble électrique ! Elle a également l'air robuste, à voir dans le temps.

Would recommend buying for regular wire-stripping needs.
I bought this tool because by and large Amazon Basics has been reliable, good quality, and competitively priced for all its products, in my experience, thus far. This wire-stripper was no exception. The build quality is good, the tool does exactly as advertised, strips wire easily, no headache, no calibration, no need to even double check. I've used it to strip extremely small wires (for circuit boards), as well as jack cables for guitars, and it does everything I've tried equally well so far. I've noticed that some people bought the product expecting it to strip extremely large / thick gauge wires (nothing of consumer level for sure), and were therefore disappointed to learn that it doesn't do that job too well, but considering their expectations were set far too high, and that they would require specialty tools for those gauges of wire, they can't really blame the product. Like I said, I've been splitting quarter inch jack cables regularly for the last month with no difficulty at all, and I can't anticipate any issues in the future either. The only con (in my opinion) is the wire cutter element (just above the crimping section) could have been a little sharper, and it does almost press the sheath every time it makes cuts, but once again, that's a super minor complaint, and honestly one that is easily solved by a little sharpening. Bottom line is that I would (and already have) recommended this to most of the people I know.
