RAM mount
I bought this mount a week ago..so far I am very impressed. It does very well on a bicycle, with the right kind of camera however. Using a digital camera produces excessive vibration on anything but glass smooth surfaces. If you have the Tachyon XC..it works great. Very little if any vibration. The plate can be adjusted to almost any angle for that perfect shot. I would highly reccommened this mount if you want something made well..and will last more than a few weeks without cracking or getting damaged. I would give this a 4.7 star rating, out of 5.RAM Mount update, 11-24....Still works great. Mount is still very sturdy with the right camera..such as the Tachyon XC. Do not use with a Kodak Easyshare M341..too much vibration. I will keep updating.

Really solidly built, works great.
I mounted this adjustable fixture to a 24" length of 1/2" iron pipe that I attached to the rack of my Harley. It is fully adjustable in all directions for a camera angle for my GoPro camera that looks down on and ahead of the rider. The mount itself is at least as sturdy as the 1/2 iron pipe. It is also easily and instantly adjustable with a big thumbscrew. When you lock it down, it really stays locked. I bought the GoPro tripod mount, which screws right onto the top of this mount. I have a fairing, so it can't really be attached to my handlebars as intended as it is not tall enough, but it can be mounted to the crash bars for a low angle video view of the ride. All in all, this is a great piece of design that is very reasonably priced for how well it functions. I'd buy with confidence anything else this company makes.

I use on sled, works great
I use this on my snowmobile for my GPS with a diff adapter from an old ram mount. It allows me to position it in a visible location yet have it be out of the way. The only gripe i have is the u bar area is meant for bigger bars. So if youre hopting to use this on a smaller than 1" cross bar. You would need a diff part. Also, dont forget to wrap to prevent paint chipping/rust. I used electrical tape. Should work fine. doesnt move, but vibrations will stress paint eventually :)

Solid and practical
Great design and solid construction. My only complaint is that it transmits too much vibration into my Canon HF-M31 Camcorder. This is largely the fault of the bike that has substantial vibration (BMW r1200GS) and a camera sensor that is excessively prone to vibration. If you own a Canon Vixia (most models) you might want to read up on vibes prior to purchase. No fault to RAM on this one...the problem persists throghout many other brand mounting methods. On the plus side, there are numerous mounting heads available, so even if this won't work for my camcorder, I can easily convert it to an iphone or gps holder...even a coffee mug holder with the purchase of the right bracket. Pretty remarkable really.

Great camera/video mount.
I just purchased this RAM mount and put it on my motorcycle handlebar. It is a very well made piece, the u-clamp mount is simple and secure, adjustment is a breeze.I use it with my JVC Everio camcorder and my Canon digital camera, they both mount securely and stay in place during the ride.It will transmit vibration but if you have an anti-shake setting on your camera it isn't an issue.I highly recommend this simple,in-expensive and well made mount,I don't think you will be disappointed.

Rock Solid Mount
I bought this little mount before doing a 6 day solo ride through Utah, Colorado, and Nevada. I used the mount for 1 angle, a fisheye lens facing me doing time lapse for most of the 6 days, roughly 1800 miles. It was time lapse so my Canon 5D DSLR was taking still photos, so there wasn't any shake issues. But even if I was shooting video, I think this mount would be my favorite simply because it's strong and it really locks onto the handlebars rock solid. Never budged. I would hand tighten it, don't over tighten or you could risk stripping the screws or breakage. Type in "Buggy Knuckles" on Youtube and see the result!

Ram Mount
I was so impressed by video shot by another biker using this product. The video had none of the jiggly vibration so often encountered with other cheaper mounts. I bought it for a 1250mi bike trip I am going on and hope to get the same results. When I return I will report on the results I got. At this point I can only comment that ram mount is well made from metal with 2 heavy duty rubber balls that dampen the road vibration. It's very easy to install It comes with 2 different size U bolts for mounting on your handle bars. The vendor shipped within 24hrs and I received it within a few days.

Works great
I have a few pocket cameras that I mount to this. I mount it to my motorcycle handlebars and is much cheaper than buying a GoPro if you already have cameras. I remove leave the ball and U-Bolt and can put on and take off in ten seconds. Great product for the price. Has ruberized balls so it does not move around on the bike even at 90MPH
