trivial to install
about 10% cheaper here than at the box store. Installation is trivial: - pop out the plug in your spare counter hole and install the button - screw the main unit to the cabinet side under your sink. -connect the air line from the button to the unit - plug the unit into the wall - plug the disposal to the unit - done This is simpler to do than replacing a faucet. you do need an outlet under the sink. In my case I'm updating a disposal that was switched at the wall, so I just leave the wall switch on at all times, and use the new button to turn the disposal on/off. the switch is interesting, its actually a little air pump, and the line is a hose that connects down to the under-counter unit. This means there is no electricity up where you might be splashing water - nice safety feature. I was a little concerned about it being 'mushy' using air to actuate the main unit, but it just works flawlessly. This button is NOT momentary. Push once and the disposal turns on, push again and it turns off. Installed just a few days ago. overall I'm very happy, can't comment on durability yet, but right now I'd probably buy again.

Amazing Upgrade for Garbage Disposal Convenience
The InSinkErator Air Switch Kit simplifies operating a garbage disposal without the hassle of wiring a traditional wall switch. After installing it in my kitchen, the difference in convenience and safety is noticeable. Key Features: No Electrical Wiring Needed: The air switch uses a small hose and button, eliminating the need for complex electrical work. I placed the button on my sink’s countertop, far from water sources, which feels safer (and code-compliant). Sleek, Low-Profile Design: The satin nickel finish blends seamlessly with my faucet and fixtures. The button sits flush against the sink, avoiding the clunky look of some switches. Dual Outlet Flexibility: While I only use it for my disposal, the dual outlet could power a secondary appliance, like a dishwasher, which is a thoughtful addition. Installation: Straightforward for a DIYer. Took about 20 minutes—drilling a 1-3/8” hole in the sink deck (use a hole saw) was the trickiest part. The included template and clear instructions made it manageable. Connecting the air hose to the disposal and power module was plug-and-play. Performance: The button responds instantly, activating the disposal with a light press. No lag or resistance, and it’s quiet compared to my old wall switch. The air-powered mechanism feels reliable, and after months of use, there’s no wear on the finish or button. Value: Pricier than basic switches, but worth it for avoiding electrician costs. The build quality justifies the price—no flimsy plastic parts or loose connections. Considerations: Requires a nearby electrical outlet for the power module (I tucked mine under the sink). Ensure your sink has enough space for the button; larger farmhouse sinks may need careful placement. Verdict: This kit is ideal for homeowners wanting a clean, safe switch solution without rewiring. It’s durable, intuitive, and elevates the kitchen’s functionality. A few points off for the outlet dependency, but overall, a smart investment for hassle-free disposal use.

Perfect
Exactly what I needed. I had the piece on top; I just needed a plug and air setup. The look doesn't matter too much, except for the metal top, which was pretty enough (I had my own). The disposal works well; InSinkErator is a great company. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for, and it's not worth it to go cheap. Fits perfectly, although that tends to depend on the holes made in your countertop.

For your awareness, not 2 plugs with constant hot.
This product seems of good quality. It is also seems pretty easy to install. However, I did not get that far. Upon reading the instructions I discovered that when you activate the air switch, it shuts off the hot or 2nd outlet while the disposal switch is activated. My plan was to plug the dishwasher in but I didn’t want the power to it to constantly be interrupted, especially since I like to put a delay start on the dishwasher as I finish cleaning up the sink. Something I could work around? Yes, but I might as well opt for a cheaper silver single plug option and just leave the light switch to the disposal plug on all the time and activate the air witch when I use it. Just be advised, not actually 2 constant hot outlets.

Works perfectly with my incinerator
Worked perfect! This is the identical unit that was available at one of the big box retail stores for more than twice the price. First try, the air button worked perfect.

I used this with a new InSinkErator garbage disposal and it worked perfectly. Installation was very easy, even as a first-time install. Everything fit as expected and it’s been working great since day one. Simple, solid, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Would definitely recommend.
