Flahavans Irish Porridge Oats (1.1 pound)

I found a package of these oats on clearance in a brick and mortar store, but couldn't imagine that they would be any different from the usual oats. I was very pleasantly surprised at the flavor and texture I discovered. I cooked my first serving in the microwave, and they cooked up quickly with a very smooth texture. I'll be ordering these again and again.

Creamy, easy and delicious. I soak the oats in milk and a little maple syrup overnight. I microwave it at work. Yummm

Product is high quality but also high cost. I suppose the oatmeal is better than run of the mill at the grocery store but I can't justify the price for now.

We had the most amazing porridge when we visited Ireland, and wanted to be able to make it at home. This is it. I am so glad that this seller is on Amazon, so I can get it whenever we start to get low! So delicious!

Smelled and tasted like soap - which, according to Google, means it was mildew-y.A detergent smell in porridge can indicate mildew contamination. Any food contaminated with mildew, which is a type of mold, means that it is full of mycotoxins. Mycotoxins (from Greek, word mykes - mushrooms and toxic - poison) are secondary products formed during a process which involves the metabolizing of mold. Mycotoxins are toxic and have negative biological effects on both humans and animals.

Creamy texture and wonderful flavor. Add butter and a bit of honey and it was like being back in Ireland.☘️

Not sure what else to say on this one. Tasted great, was shipped quickly and cooks into a great porridge, even worked well for cold oats.
