The kit is solid and easy to put together. It didn't work for me as I have the 2x4 frame of the gate with the narrow part of the studs for mounting. The bracket design didn't allow me to make a solid attachment (without potentially splitting the studs). Maybe make or add a 90 degree mounting bracket to help with this?

I was able to install this in under an hour. The metal is extremely strong. Once the brackets are in place, you can generate a tremendous amount of torque by using a wrench on the nut in the corner near the higher hinge. This pulls the round bar upward, which then pulls the flat bars upward, and ultimately the lower part of the gate, in the corner diagonally across from the top hinge, will come up.This device works much better than one of those cheap, thin turnbuckle devices which are very difficult to adjust. Yes, this product costs a bit more than twice as much as a turnbuckle, but it works ten times better.

It works well. Instructions were very clear. Would buy again.

It's not really working like I intended, I guess mine is not the right kind of door, but there aren't directions so you're kind of on your own.

The metal is cheap and screws strip easily. This is not going to help you square up an existing gate! Save your money and go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a turnbuckle kit!

My fence gate wasn't actually sagging. The fence post (set in concrete) had gone out of plumb. So I used this kit to attach it to the next post, as a stringer, and pull the off-plumb post back into vertical. That fixed the gate :-) Then I spray painted the kit pieces white, to match the fence posts. Everything looks and works great now!
