Hilly Men's Marathon Fresh Running Socks

Had several pair of Hilly's other socks which I've been using for marathon and triathlon training - all of which are perfectly fine up to around half marathon distance but beyond that I thin you need to give a little more consideration than choosing any old pair of socks. Hilly's twin skin socks are very warm and great for winter running, trail socks have more cushioning but both feel a little bit too bulky, and with the twin-skins especially, I didn't feel a connection to the ground I was running on.I moved the Marathon Fresh socks after trying out the Ultra Marathon Fresh version - there's very little difference between the two, apart from the colour scheme, the ultra's will cover your ankle but the regular marathons come to just unker your ankle - and for me the height is perfect, high enough shield my skin from the side of my running shoes, but low enough that I can wear compression / calf sleeves without the 2 overlapping.The socks also have a degree of compression for blood circulation and I've noticed other reviewers complaining about this, as well as complaint about a lack of cushioning - which in my opinion should be coming from their shoes rather than their socks!Wore these during a hot 2018 London Marathon and had no issues with ventilation at all.My only gripe with these is that Hilly tend to be little conservative with their colour schemes - even though most of the sock is hidden by your shoe, it would still be nice for a little more variety than black and grey.

These socks are great.I’ve run hundreds of miles in them, as well as completing several obstacle races and walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks and never come close to having a blister.The 100% synthetic construction means that they simply do not hold water, so (in combination with the right shoes) your feet dry out super-quickly even after a real soaking.If there is a downside (hence only 4 stars) it is that they do wear out a little quicker than other brands - probably a trade off for the added comfort.

Couple of months on from continuous wear, the socks still feel great. Very comfortable and soft. Glad I got 2 pairs for circulating daily gym trips. Would not be without em!

I already have a pair so know how good they are, completed 10.5miles straight out of the bag, so compfy and no blisters. My wife has used these but also has the female version and swears by them also

they look really good but the person I bought them for has not wornthem yet as they were a Christmas present

These are great socks. I previously bought a pair made by the same company and though I choose extra large for a US 10.5, they were small. Here, i choose the largest i could order and they are still impossibly tight. I get that it is a compression technology, but these are functionally too tight, causing edema. Having said that, the socks themselves are woven with some cross herringbone fashion and are unequaled by any other sock I have ever worn. I am very impressed over all. Order larger unless you are into condoms on your feet.

These running socks are the most comfortable I have ever worn. No blisters and keep your feet fresh all the way through a marathon.

I liked the design and the technology involved won be over to buying these socks. However.... The reality of wearing the socks nice to look at but uncomfortable to wear. Keep in mind that I was only wearing these socks around the house which is on polished wood flooring. Bottom line of my experience, they compressed my feet, they made my feet sweat more, they lacked grip on the wood flooring and the stitching started to fail after 4 hours of wearing them around the home.
