Purchased multiple sets of these and have used for two fall/winter seasons on sxs, mower and motorcycles. Have not had any issues. Have even used on my trucks, outside in -20 without any issues, to date.

Works great keeping our vehicle, and dirt bike batteries charged! I hook up our vehicles to these in the winter as well to keep the batteries healthy.

I live where it gets cold in the winter: 20 below temperatures are common, and we plug our cars in, not to charge them, but to keep the engines warm enough to start more easily. Adding one of these to the vehicle to maintain charge in batteries in vehicles not used often, but which need to be ready to go, has proven to keep even batteries nearing the end of their service life topped off and ready to go, even in severe cold. The combination of engine heater and this trickle charger makes starting the vehicle as easy as starting when it's 60 degrees out. The added draw to the circuit is so small as to be nonexistent compared to the engine heater, and it has proven to be a great way to keep the vehicle ready to go. Notably, though, any battery in a vehicle not being used on at least a weekly basis should have some sort of means to maintain its charge levels, and for the money, this is an inexpensive way to prolong battery life in vehicles used intermittently, or even daily drivers in adverse conditions.

Not a whole lot too talk about with this Trickle charger, maintainer. On the good side, it is very compact and easy to stow. I also appreciate that it has your typical jumper leads as well as a quick connect harness in which you can permanently mount to your vehicle for easier connection. Most of the other maintainers I have have the same option however. I tried this out on a 4-year-old battery in my one Audi that was around 12.4 volts prior to charging. It took this maintainer 24 hours to bring it up to 12.6 volts and then it called it good and began what I believe was it's float mode. A brand new battery probably would have been 12.8 but I'm happy as to where it landed. It's really hard to quantify the quality of output without specialized testing equipment so I don't know how clean the juice going into the battery is. But on first try it seems to do the job. I have an extensive car collection and will use this on some of the older classics I have. I only use NOCO or deltran smart chargers for my late model high-end cars, as I trust they put out clean voltage and maintain the battery and sensitive electronics that go with it. The reason for four stars is pretty trivial but the LED indicator lights are extremely tiny. They light up bright enough but you have to look pretty close to see what they are trying to tell you. If you use this constantly it probably won't be an issue but other than that this really isn't a bad trickle charger.

I wanted a simple changer that you just plug in and forget. This fits the bill. - simple - nice price - plug compatible with battery tender The only negative is that the wires are pretty wimpy compared to a Battery Tender. In know it's only a trickle charger, but the small wires will probably be more susceptible to being damaged.
