Perfect power supply for microphone, comes with XLR cord
I recently bought a microphone for my iMac for making videos for my website and didn't realize that the microphone needed its own power supply. After a bit of research I found this power supply and decided to try it and I am glad I did. The Neewer 1 Channel 48V phantom power supply is easy to hookup to your microphone. I tested it out and have no feedback or other issues with any of it. One tip, you may already know this, is to get your microphone to work you have to remember to go into your settings on your computer and turn on the microphone instead of using the computer's microphone, but that's about all there is to it. Along with this power supply I got the Excelvan BM-800 microphone and love it (I have a review on it and you can see more tips in that review), and the Sabrent USB External Stereo Sound Adapter ($6.00), and the Neewer Adjustable Suspension Boom arm. That's all I have needed for it to work with my iMac. I wasn't sure if I needed the soundcard but I did so I am glad for the $6 I got it. If you have a Mac you may need it as you may also have one input / output line for audio and this external soundcard will help so your can connect your microphone. Once connected go to Settings, Sound and look for USB Sound Card and click on that to make the microphone the default instead of the builtin microphone. *Tip: Ignore other reviews that say to get the XLR male to female microphone cord as it's included with this power supply. I was not paid for this review nor did I receive any merchandise for free. This is all me and I hope I helped!

LOVE the "slow start" (avoids/minimizes pops), needs on/off LED
Plenty of power for a strong signal on condenser mics that need phantom power, where you're not using a mixer to supply it. I really really love the "slow start" circuitry which slowly increases phantom power, without creating a pop... at least it hasn't in the initial uses so far, and that's Awesome. Pops when connecting/disconnecting a line that has phantom power applied, really distracts the audience and is jolting to them. Highly recommended. It has a blue LED in front to show that the power supply is connected and plugged in... helpful. My one request is that they add an LED to show when the unit itself is powered on or off. Since it doesn't, I used a colored sharpie on the white power button (a fairly long-throw latching switch, not a relay-driven momentary switch) to denote which is on or off. See pics. [you just need a small phillips screwdriver, and red & green "sharpie" permanent marker pens.] 1) Mark all the visible area of the switch when pushed in (ON), with green sharpie pen. 2) take unit out of box/cover, (8 small phillips screws). 3) mark the rest of the power button with red sharpie. 4) put unit back in box. 5) relabel if you desire. 6) test.

Still works to this day
Ahh yes, the 48v phantom power that every cardoid mic needs or needed since USB mics are replacing them. I got this kit waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2014 for a music project alongside the NW-700 when Neewer was still doing audio. It lasted me from that time till recently where I switched over to a USB mic. BUT, don't let the whole USB mic good, phantom power bad scene fool you nowadays. This unit delivers amazing sound quality that it had people asking me how much my mic costed me. It's also a medium bulk but portable item as well. It's pretty straightforward with how it's to be used and the connectivity with cardioid mics is also straightforward. The value for money here is still unrivaled if you're looking for a good phantom power that will last.

Working but
I bought this for a room mate that's started streaming. It seems to be working. However minutes after turning the new one on, the power light blinked and went out. While it seems to be working still it's unnerving not having that on to know if it fails at sometime. I had bought this same unit before for myself back in January, and mine is still running well. Not sure if he'll want to "tuff it out" and hope for the best or try for an exchange or return. Hopefully it continues to work fine. I can update the review then if it looks to be good or fails

Exactly What You're Looking For
Purchased as a replacement phantom power supply for a nearly ten year old condenser microphone I just can't bear to part with, even after it's old power supply died. Works great, practically identical in all the ways that matter to the original piece. Very solid and gets the job done.

good power supply
i bought this for my at2020 mic, and i use my microphone to sing into my pa speaker. pa speakers have gain control, but just to be clear, this product does not provide any amplification of any sorts. if you want to connect a condenser mic to your pc, i'd recommend getting an audio interface. all this does is supply 48v of phantom power, and if that's what you need, this product is perfect. i experience no issues using this with my mic and speaker, and is super straightforward to setup. the bonus cables are also nice quality.

Good product, even better service
I bought this for my Audio Technica AT2020 condenser mic, which I was plugging into a LyxPro SPA-8 100W active PA speaker. The speaker doesn’t supply phantom power, so without this little unit my microphone essentially didn’t work. By plugging this power supply “in between” the mic and speaker, everything works perfectly. Some buyers / readers seem confused that this power supply provides some sort of amplification, but it doesn’t. It simply provides phantom power, so your condenser microphone can work. Go read / watch a YouTube video on the difference between condenser mic’s and dynamic mics, if needed. Michael Pitluck has a perfect explainer video. Back to the review, Neewer offered me great customer service when my first unit arrived faulty. There is a note inside the box that suggests to contact them with any problems. My power supply added a loud buzz to the line. Upon proving the problem by emailing them a short video, they sent me a replacement at no charge, which worked perfectly with no buzz. Other reviews talk about noise when connecting this to a mic going into a computer and I don’t know if that’s the same thing. My unit was truly faulty. If you have a condenser microphone that doesn’t work because the destination you’re plugging it into doesn’t provide 48W phantom power, then this product is for you.
