They can bend if you don’t insert properly.But that was user error. Took me a couple tries to figure out that you slide them into the shoot in the button needle- not just placing them in the groove.

Just the thing needed to fix a button on a chair
My husband needed these for fixing a button on a chair. He was having a hard time finding them and was delighted that I was able to find them on Amazon.

1-2-3 works like a charm!
First time tufting and I performed like an expert. The needle, thread and clips were easy to manage and worked - I found a video on YouTube and easily applied the products to my damaged tufted sofa and fully repaired it!
