This heavy duty Sidekick XL full size U lock keeps my son's scooter safe and since we purchased orange, he can find his scooter quickly amidst all the others parked on campus. Great value, easy to use and functional. Perfect lock.

I have it attached to my e-bike and there’s no damage because it’s rubber coated and strong and I totally trust it to keep my bike from getting stolen !

I like to ride my bicycle and I am against bike theft. I am going to be completely honest with you, my bike is sweet. It’s worth stealing. Which is why I have invested in many a bike lock over the years. I especially like the OTTOLOCK Sidekick because it is smaller and lighter than my other pile of U locks. Big bonus that it fits nicely in my commuter bag, which is usually loaded with towels, swim goggles and other detritus for the community center, slurpee stops and trips to the grocery store. Since I had kids, that’s where I lock my bike most. On special occasions I get to lock my sweet ride in front of a coffee shop and loiter in spandex. I like that my Ottolock Sidekick is orange, allowing it to stand out among all the other bike stuff/gear in my garage so I can grab it and go when it’s needed. The lock bar attaches from either side of of the U, which makes locking up and unlocking a snap. I don’t feel like I wrestle with it when I lock the bike in a weird location or position. The silicone coating doesn’t bung up my paint either. I am happy with this product.

Solid lock! Not too heavy and easy to lock and unlock. Seems well made and I like the rubberized coating!

Very solid good, good looking lock that would be harder to cut with cutters, but of course a grinder could cut anything. I do wish I had bought the longer model to fit both bikes together. The orange goes perfectly with my RAD MIN ebike.

Seems sturdy enough, but time will tell how theft resistant the lock is. Most locks are intended to keep generally honest people from being tempted. Little stops the intent criminal types. The ULock easily secures onto my rear rack fornconvenient access and storage while riding. The HiViz orange complements the rest of my bike "style." I use this lock for quick stops for the convenience, and can add loop cables to secure the seat, wheels, and other critical components. But I have a stouter lock I use together with this one when I want my bike more secure. Carrying the extra weight is worth the security convenience.

We use this lock to secure a 9mm link chain to our car or trailer hitch so that our ebikes are secure. It locks and unlocks easily. The rubber coating is nice but it makes it harder to get the shackle through the chain. I like that it has three keys so that we can keep one in each car and one at home. Seems to be a very sturdy lock but only time will tell if it is ever cut.
