Great tactical style pack for kids and adults
I purchased this as a hiking pack for my 6 year old son. We are in Cub Scouts (I'm his Den Leader) and we go on at least one hike a month. I already had a few hiking packs, but they were all too big for him. So I got this one. I had to tighten all the straps all the way in, but the pack sits nicely on his back and fits him very well. We've already gone on one hike and he said that it's very comfortable. That's a good thing because, the bag seems to be very well made and durable, so it fits him now and he can still "grow into it". Despite the fact that it's not a large bag, it's perfect for anyone as a day hiking pack, a go bag or any kind of day bag. The fact is that it's deceptively small...you can get quite a lot into the bag. In addition, it's got the Molle system, so you can hang smaller bags off of it, if needed. If you need a smaller backpack that is tough and versatile, I don't think you can do much better than this bag...especially at the price point.

Larger than expected for a 20L bag.
Bag showed up on time and in excellent condition. It sounds odd to say it but for a 20L bag it seems big. It expands/compresses easily with the 4 adjustable side buckles and two bottom straps. Two back pockets are super convenient and surprisingly spacious. After 1st heavy use everything appears to be of solid construction with no popping buckles or zippers that open on their own. Although it does come with a waist strap I was surprised to see it doesn't have a chest strap however, there is a place to hook one up on the shoulder straps so I'll probably be doing that soon. Overall, I think this is an excellent bag for the money and would recommend it. I use it for cycling but it would also be a great weekend bag or of course a tactical bag as it was designed.

Worth twice the price
This bag is perfect for a small go bag, which is what I purchased it for. I didn't find anything as nice in any outfitter around my area, and the next best "go bags" we're at least twice the price of this one. This is a medium sized go bag. Well packed, I have a week's supply of gear ready to go. Its many compartments make for great packing, with plenty of options to ensure a tight, rattle-free pack. Plenty of options for strapping gear to the exterior as well, with easy access. I have access to a survival knife, my canteen, 100' rope, and a machete all while wearing the pack. Quality is fine. There are plastic buckles, but I carry about 25 lbs with no issues. My only complaint: the arm straps could be a bit wider. The thin straps can be a bit uncomfortable after a long hike without additional padding. Does not effect the extreme value for the money in my opinion, especially considering the exponentially rising costs of gear these days.

Day pack hiking duty
Bought this little pack for short use hiking purposes lasting up to a couple hours and it fits the bill just right. Has just enough room for basic hiking gear like a multitool, flashlight, first aid kit, sweater, hat, gloves, and some food and water. So far it seems pretty sturdy and has hung in well with decent comfort on the straps. My only real con about this is that it is without a sternum strap. I also like the fact that it has a small zipper pouch on the inside of the large compartment for flat items like a map that you can easily access without having to dig too far down in it. To make it more versatile I added various molle pouches to carry more supplies for longer hikes. Currently I have a flashlight case, maxpedition caccoon pouch, first aid pouch, 2 water pouches, a small maxpedition rolly dump pouch, and another small pouch for my extra flashlight and headlamp batteries. I cut off the compression straps on the bottom to utilize the loops to hold a condor deployment bag for any bulky food items I wanted to take. With all the extra pouches, it doesnt feel any bulkier at all. With that, I feel pretty confident that it can hang with me for a full 8-12 hour hike. For anything longer or over night I definitely would move up to a larger bag, but for a short hike under most conditions this bag is pretty good for the price and has lots plenty of room for extra molle pouches.

forever pack
I bought this backpack more than ten years ago, its been used many times for many purposes, including air travel, camping, school and hiking, and there is nary a frayed thread on it. This pack is a beast. It has TONS of pockets and hidden chambers, got those loops to attach EVEN MORE on the front and sides. One of the most solid purchases of my life.

Great Pack for the right job
Let me start with it is a 30L pack. That is not a large pack for a week backpack trip into the woods! It is a smaller compact pack, with two larger full depth compartments, and two smaller compartments one 3/4 depth one 1/4 depth. This pack also has a pouch between the large compartment and the back-pad, where you can fit a 100ml Camel back water pouch. I am using this as a Go-Bag. I have one set of clothes, a sweatshirt, and rain gear in the main compartment. There is no need for more clothing, as I always have a coat, and am usually dressed when driving. (thus I have two full sets of clothes with me) Also some creature comforts IE:toothbrush & paste, comb, razor and soap. The second compartment has freeze dried food, energy bars, and fire starting stuff. The third compartment is for self defense gear, and knives. The small front compartment has medications, and water purification. The bottom front compartment has mylar blankets, a mylar tent for one, and para cord. Attached to the front lower compartment I have my first aid kit. As you can see this pack is loaded, without water in the Camelback compartment it weighs 16 pounds. So for three days I have food, warmth, dry shelter, personal defense, heat, plus creature comforts.

Deceptive Description and Bag
The images are deceptive in the description. This is a good size for a day or two pack but not much more. It looks huge in the one picture but it isn't that big. I have a Jansport Odyssey backpack that is much bigger. The MOLLE on this bag is also deceptive or at least I think so (This was my first foray into the MOLLE world so maybe I missed something). The MOLLE system is 1 inch straps separated by 1 inch spaces. This bag does not have that. I got some Blackhawk Speed Clips to use with it but they do not completely work because of the odd spacing of the bags straps. The quality of the bag is good and if you have other methods of attaching things to this bag then it is a nice bag. It seems very sturdy and well constructed. I haven't had a chance to use it for anything yet but it seems like it could take some abuse. I also ordered the Mil-Tec Army Patrol 50L Pack which DOES appear to have a true MOLLE system and is much closer in size to my Jansport Odyssey if not a little bigger.

Well crafted small bag
I wear this every day at work to carry about 20 pounds of tools with me as I move throughout the workplace, because I have to move from place to place on treks of a 1/4 mile or more. I've recieved a lot of compliments about it from other technicians. The materials are thick and it looks like it will last a long time. Its definitely a cut or two above the typical bag someone carries their books around in at school. The straps, material, zippers, and stitching are much more robust. It looks new after several months of use. Its a great bag. For the price of 20 something US dollars I paid, what I got is just astounding. I would expect this to cost $60 at least. It is somewhat smaller than the typical backpack, so make sure its the right size for you. EDIT 11-22-2015: Still using this bag 5 days a week to carry 20 lbs of tools around and except for a couple very small punctures caused by falling a few feet to the ground with the tools in it, its still like new.

Super qualité et super prix, incontournable
Super sac à dos!!!! J'ai enfin trouvé celui qu'il me fallait.

Great looking, sturdy little day/hiking pack
So far it's been great. Great looking, sturdy little day/hiking pack. Was exactly what I was looking for; small on my back but roomy at the same time. Perfect! I read some of the negative reviews, all pretty much pointing to how smaller than expected it is. I don't understand what these people were expecting with a 20L bag. You go down to 15L and what you get is a very small cycling hydration backpack. If you're looking for big, I really don't get why you would even entertain a 20L bag instead of 30-40L. So it's a lack of understanding when it comes to sizing, absolutely nothing to do with the backpack itself. One thing I don't understand is that every other color doppelganger of this backpack has written in its description "600D polyester" but not this one. Is the quality lower than its camouflage counterparts? I guess time will tell.
