Short screws - not just a punch line
The product looks nice. And it was easy to install. Too easy. The wood screws that came with it were so short and the wood on the predator guard was so soft that I could install the screws just by pushing them in. Obviously this is not a secure mounting. Especially when they just fall out. The screws appeared to be shorter than the ones pictured on the product description. I don't think that I have actually ever seen screws as proportionally short as these were. I had to go get some longer wood screws from my nail and screw bin. I do think that the product will do the job now. Larger birds had started to chip some wood away from the edges of the entrance hole.

super easy to install and enhances the look of the birdhouse. Too many bird houses have been ruined by pesky rodents chewing the holes larger. Keeps out starlings and sparrows too.
