Manual Downspout Extender, Green, 8-Ft. x 7-In.

Not what I was looking for.
This item needs lots of extras that came with my previous set that were similar to these. These are just a flat platic tube that has some holes at one end and a twist tie for the other end. The twist tie, on its own, will not hold the platic on the drain spout. Need to wrap the spout with a sponge like tape first. The other problem is the end is wide open. They didn't seal it, didn't add anything to close it off. So, all that is being done is changing the location that the water hits the ground. I bought these to disperse the water like a rain shower, not like a gully wash. They only hole the flat shape. After the first rain finally happened, I went to roll them back up and they just unrolled to lay flat. I would have to secure them. That means on the next rain I would need to be there to release them.

Decent solution for flat drainage product
Very easy to install, long twist tie easily ties around a 3x4" downspout. I figured out I have to weave it in & out of the holes to create enough friction to stay on the downspout and not slide out.I misread that the extender ONLY unrolls automatically. Rolling it up manually is tedious so I just push it to the side so it doesn't kill the grass underneath. It does lay nicely flat when it's drained, but if your drain area is not level or slightly angled away from the house, rainwater will stay in the tube after a rainstorm. The good thing is that it lays flat enough that the boys don't trip over it when running around the yards

Control your water drainage
I was looking for these at my local store for a couple years. Got tired of waiting. These are awesome. You can cut them to desired length. Definitely helps with the water drainage and leading the water from the home.

Not worth the time
After a rain you have to go around and roll these up by hand, if they could stay on your lawn they may be ok.

does not stay in place
the end did not stay over the gutter opening. They should make this product more narrow and able to stretch over the opening instead you have to secure it with a rubberband and it still wasn't secure

Works well
Great price easy to install but material is a little thin, so you have to be careful Installing it or it will rip. After a few heavy rains, it handled the water perfectly and flowed good.

Don't do it
If you feel you need these find a better solution. These aren't much thicker than a trash bag. They're easy to install, if you use zip ties and not the thing they supply. They work marginally.

Easily to install
Anticipate they may last one season. Due to lightweight plastic they do twist in the wind when extended and need to be rolled up manually.
