We've Owned These Chairs for Over a Year and Still Love Them!
Towards the end of last summer, my husband and I needed to get some new chairs for when we sit outside or go somewhere since our old ones were worn out. I did some searching on here and these were the first ones that stuck out to me. I've known for awhile that the Coleman brand has a good reputation and I was pretty interested in these chairs since they have a lot of features and didn't cost a ton of money. We ended up purchasing the blue chair and the black chair. These oversized chairs are amazing and so comfortable! They are made in China of 100% polyethylene foam. The chairs measure approximately 24 inches wide when set up and 18 inches from the bottom of the legs to where the seat is. They can hold up to 325 pounds and feel very durable. My husband weighs about 350 pounds and he's sat in these with no problems although we bought him a chair that can hold a bit more weight, just in case. Some really cool features of these chairs are: a built-in cooler that can hold 4 cans (I can fit 3 comfortably and I think you could fit one lying on top of the other cans), a mesh cup holder which holds my water bottle, and side pockets which are GREAT for books, phones, and other small accessories like keys, wallets and sunscreen. There is one big pocket and two smaller pockets. These chairs are well-cushioned and so comfortable to relax in. The seat and back are cushioned and the arm rests are wide. The product tag also says the arm heights are adjustable although I've never tried it and the frame is made of strong steel which I definitely believe. The chairs come in a bag with a strap which makes them easy to carry. We've had these chairs for over a year and they are some of my favorite chairs that we've ever owned! I use them a lot during the summer and I've never had a problem with either of the chairs. One of the bags tore a little bit when I was putting a chair back in but that's not a huge deal to me. The tear didn't get any worse over time. Oftentimes I will sit in one chair and set up the other to use as a footrest..wow, is it so comfortable! I could sit in these chairs for hours because they are so comfortable! I don't really use the cooler as a cooler; instead, I just put my water bottle in it since it's a stainless steel one and somewhat heavy. It sticks out of the cooler but that's fine with me since I am just using it for a cup holder. I love the mesh pockets too and always stick my phone, Kindle or book in there when I'm not using them.Overall, I'm so happy I found these chairs because they are some of the best I've found! I feel the price is great for what you get and I like that there are a few different colors to choose from. We've never had a problem with the chairs themselves (only one of the bags) and several of our family members and friends have used them too. If you are looking at purchasing these for outdoor activities, I highly recommend them! They have been a great purchase and I would buy more of them in the future if we need to get more!

6 years and counting…
I’m a nurse home visitor and I bring my own chair when I visit clients in their home. I bought this chair in 2019 and still use that very chair daily for work. It is sturdy, comfortable, and absolutely essential for my work—sometimes people don’t have furniture or have infestations. I also love the holders on the arms where I can put things I need for work. I’m over 200 lbs and hang my heavy backpack on the back of the and it doesn’t show any signs of fraying or weakening. Amazing chair. It’s rare that products are this well-made, long-lasting and affordable.

Cons: Heavy, hard to fold up small - Pros: Super durable & Everything else, especially the wide seat
UPDATE: I've had this chair since July 2019, using it roughly once/week and it still looks like new. Really solidly built. Unfortunately, it's just too bulky and heavy for me to carry around anymore, even across the street to where I take my dog to a park, so I'm shopping for another cheap lightweight one. I'll keep this one for camping or just to have an extra chair around, but it's too heavy for me to carry any distance now, as I'm getting old. But, as far as durability, you should know this is a great chair. Never had a problem with it opening or closing, and it doesn't show any wear at all in all this time.OLD REVIEW: I knew this was going to be heavier than the old used chair I got at a yard sale. I'm still glad I bought it because it's so comfortable and I love the amenities that, of course, weigh more. I love how wide the seat is on this. I'm a big lady and my dog likes to come up and share the chair with me, and this chair is awesome for the size. It's pretty much impossible to fold up into a nice thin thing for carrying to the park or wherever. I'm not going to put it in and out of the bag when I just want to walk to a local park with my dog, so I fold up my chairs and put them under an arm. I tried using a bungee cord to make it fold up smaller, but that was a pain. The problem is the pockets and the arm cooler get in the way. If you tuck them in before folding it up, then the chair doesn't fold up very thin. If you don't, then you have things flapping or sticking out. HOWEVER, I'd buy it again for the comfort and convenience. If I was going to walk very far, though, I'd buy another lighter chair without all the bells and whistles, and keep this one, too, for when I won't have to carry it very far.I also love the zipper system for opening and closing the insulated cooler on the arm. It's a double zipper with a handle pull that connects to the zipper on either side. This means the opening to the cooler is wide, instead of having just one zipper on top with a narrow opening. With this system, you pull the handle, and it unzips a zipper on either side of the cooler, opening a space as wide as the cooler. When you pull the zippers closed, there is a velcro flap that closes the space at the opening, so the cooler is completely sealed closed. It's really well-made will really sturdy zippers.Other than the weight, I really don't get why anyone would complain about this chair. My last one was nice and light and functional, but fell apart. I can see a huge difference in quality construction on this Coleman chair compared to the Sports Authority one I just had to throw out. It's too bad you can't buy replacement seats. The base on my old chair was fantastic - heavy duty but also really light. But, I must admit in my old age, I like having more conveniences, like having a cooler for my water in the arm of my chair.Tip: Freeze a water bottle, like from an old ICE sparkling water bottle (they're the perfect, slim size) and throw it in the cooler with your drinks or sandwich, to keep them really cold.
