I couldn’t write to explain just how happy and overwhelmed I am to be reading a book by a Muslim author. This collection is absolutely beautiful. I love the love the author shares. I felt it deep in my soul; I often even thought of my own husband. I love the style of this collection, it truly feels so personal and intimate, and the last couple of poems are the cherry on top. Perfect. I truly cannot wait to read more. I’m in love

Hey. I was perusing amazon for poetry now that I’ve realized I like it. I wanted someone not old, white and dead. FS Yousaf seemed like a very non white name. I bought this not even expecting to like it. It was a cheap book so why not take a chance? Today my boss and I are pouring over the pages each one of us going “Oh my god read this one read this one!” And he’s getting teary eyed over An Ode To You. I can’t believe this book fell into my hands out of pure chance and happenstance. I was blessed. This book of poems is so heartfelt and pure of emotion. Thank you for writing it.

This book was such an amazing purchase, and it was gifted to a loved one. Definitely one of my top favorite books as it goes into topics such as sentiment and love towards another individual.

The poems in this book made my heart song with joy. What amazing writing! Out of all these amazing poems I could possibly pick to be the best it would be the cryptic message will you marry me. Absolutely beautiful!

My book arrived with stains on the back, which was a bit annoying considering that I purchased it brand new. I think it was cute that the author dedicated this book of poems to his wife. I also like the drawings throughout the book. However, the formatting of the poems bothered me a bit. The author decided to capitalize the first letter of each new line, even when it was merely a continuation of the previous one. For example—not from his poetry, just an example of the formatting: “The sun is a bright Yellow color.” I guess that’s his style of writing, but it just seemed incomplete to me. Nevertheless, it is sweet that he dedicated it to his partner.

I am a hopeless romantic. Love stories and poems forever hold a large peace of my heart. I always knew to appreciate the little things in life, but after reading these poems, I have learned you appreciate them even more; especially in my marriage. I love my husband dearly and reading these poems brought back old memories I thought I had completely forgotten. It made me cry with joy, happy for all of our moments, good and bad, and excited for what has yet to come. I implore f.s. yousaf to make "sincerely" a series of books. I would love to read more.

I used to read heartbreaking and sad poetry until I found myself not being able to relate to it. I lost interest, all because of him. This book was such a great read. Being happy and in love made me enjoy this so much more. Definitely recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyable read, doesn't feel to mainstream like some other poetry books, really lovely imagery and works. There are also cute drawings throughout to accompany the poems.
