No sweaty feet!
I tried these bad boys and man are they comfortable. They feel rough on the outside, but when you put them on your feet and start walking around with boots, these stay in shape and my feet never get sweaty. These are great, I haven't used them in extremely cold weather yet, but I have used them in about 26 degrees, and my feet stayed warm. Get them, you'll be satisfied!

nice sock
The sock is nice and thick with cushioning. It fits like a glove- a tighter fit which I prefer. The elastic around the lower calf is tight, so beware if that is something you would not like. There is an elastic "support" across the arch of the foot which fits tighter. I have an extremely high arch and like this fit. I do not know how this would feel for someone with a flat arch. Be aware that there is that tight elastic feel across the arch of the foot. The socks do keep my foot much drier than my 100% cotton socks for sure. The fabric appears to be somewhat different at the toes and my toes get ever so slightly moist by the end of the day. I wear these socks for my 6 am walk in very cold weather- wind chill in the teens- and my feet stay warm. I would recommend this sock if you are not put off by a tight sock on your foot and around your calf. If you have thicker or heavier calves or feet, the tight fit may be an issue. If you have circulatory issues and/or edema, I can say with almost certainty that these socks will not work for you due to the tight elastic at the calf and arch of foot. Also, if your shoes already fit snug, wearing these socks would probably make your shoes fit too tight. These socks work great in my running shoes which I order 1/2 size larger. On the other hand, they do not work at all with my dress shoes which I wear to work.

Keeps me warm and dry!
Perfect and keeps my foot warm and dry during runs. Did about 2 runs in them and about 5 miles each in about 25 degree weather and my feet stayed warm. My feet and hands usually get really hot and I don't like wearing thick socks during a run because I blister easily but I put body glide under my feet on every run and this thick socks worked great and I didn't get a blister. My feet didn't really get cold till the temperature hit about 33 degrees and I couldn't stand to run in my regular running socks. I recommend this socks to cold weathered runners! Need to buy me more pairs!

I like how warm these socks keep my feet in 20-30 degree temperatures. However, they do bulk up after sucking up water and/or sweat, causing my shoes to get too tight to the point they are painful during long runs.

awesome cold weather comfort!
I am a new runner this winter. I wanted a sock with cushion and warmth, and couldn't be happier. I have worn the socks for outdoor running in temperatures as low as the low 20's, and my feet stay toasty warm and dry. Wore them in Maine during a blizzard and still comfy. Seams are smooth, material is great. Have washed them in machine, let them air dry, and so far are wearing very well. I bought a second pair so I didn't have to do laundry as often. Highly recommend for cold weather sports.

Bulky scratchy and stiff, but warm
right out of the package I was unimpressed since I could pick the individual socks up by the heel, hold them horizontal and have them barely bend. Definitely not flexible. Washed multiple times in an effort to soften then up. Tried wearing with everything from running shoes to rubber rain boots. Uncomfortable, irritating, blister- forming in all footwear very quickly. The somewhat large for sizing refers to the seams, since the rest of the sock is reasonable as to fit. Nastiest pair of socks I have ever tried.

Great socks until the first wash.
Wore them once and they fit great. After washing them once and hang drying them, on my next run they slid down my calfs and ended up bunched up at the bottom. Maybe I need to dry them so they shrink a little but I'm concerned they'll be too tight. I also bought the Everlis hiking socks which ended up being a much better choice for running, and overall more comfortable.

Winter is coming
I've had these socks for about a year now and put countless cold and often wet miles on them and they have held up like champs.I consulted the sizing chart before I ordered and they fit snuggly in the best way, offering the same type of support as the rest of my compression gear. The material is on the thicker side (predictable since they're designed for colder weather) so keep that in mind if you run in a minimalist shoe like I do. It's not a problem for me, but I do notice that I don't feel the ground quite as well and I have to lace up a little looser when wearing these. As far as insulation these are incredible. Much like the warning on all the UA Coldgear products I do not wear these unless the temperature dips below forty degrees, but when it does these socks keep my feet nice and cozy. I live in TN, so I can't comment on sub-zero performance, however I can say that I have run in these on days that we got into the low teens and they did their job. The fabric wicks well and an anti-odor element is always a welcome addition to the specs of any gear that will see quite a bit of sweat. I have not had the problems other reviewers have with the elastic getting weak, in fact the only wear on mine is on the heel. Washing is simple if you're used to moisture wicking synthetics; cold water and hang dry. I generate enough laundry of this type that it usually all ends up going in the same load then draped over every possible object in my bathroom, bedroom, and office. All in all a great choice if you're trying to stay on the streets or trails even in the dead of winter.

Quite tight and very think, much thicker than standard sports socks. Keep this in mind as some footwear may not fit with these on.
