Worked as described, easy to install
I love the ecosmart tankless heater that this part goes to and was devastated when it stopped working. After doing some troubleshooting at the guidance of the manufacturer's website I determined that this part was malfunctioning. I was able to remove the original part in under 15 minutes with just a screwdriver and a couple of plumbers wrenches. I found that the rubber gasket was not properly seated from the manufacturer which had allowed water into the chip housing and the computer chip had corroded.I ordered this replacement, it took no time at all to put it in place and it has worked like a dream ever since.

Good part
My tankless water heater, an eco smart eco 18, wouldn't come on when I turned the hot water on. I feared the worst. I called EcoSmart and told them the symptoms I was having, which was the LED screen wasn't even coming on at all. He told me to change a small fuse above the LED panel. He said that so quick and he was so sure. He was wrong. So I asked grok AI on X. I told it I had power to the unit. It's not the breaker. I had sufficient water pressure and it told me change the flow sensor. So I took the old flow sensor apart and the impeller was warped in the magnet was all worn away. I ordered this product from Amazon and received it in 2 days on a Sunday even. I installed it in less than 10 minutes, I turned the water back on from the main and turned the faucet on hot. That's when I learned something else, I actually have hot water now real hot. It seems when the impeller in this flow sensor starts to go the machine kicks down in heat for safety reasons so it doesn't overheat. It happens at such a slow rate. You don't realize you're losing your hot water, after installing this simple part, The water is so hot. I had to turn it down from 140 to 130. Good part, simple install and not only does it work it gave us actual hot water again. Five stars

Kinda fixed the problem
I have a Rheem Retex-27. The water was not getting hot like it used to so I replaced this flow sensor and it seems to have solve the problem but I did have to increase the reading on the unit from 125 to 140 degrees. So the reading is not correct but the water is hot again like it used to be (when I had it set at 125). It was a perfect fit.

Bad quality control !
Not impressed with this product from EcoSmart. I have called the company and waited over 1/2 hr and still couldn’t speak to anyone, I have even email the company and still no response from them. I purchased both flow sensor and Triac 1st Heating Element. The flow sensor leaked 2 of the O’ring where bad and I had to take apart remove the sensor not just once but twice. I ended up using my old O’ring from my old flow sensor. The O’ring that was on it was defective. Finally after replace the flow sensor I got it to stop leaking. Then I had to replace the triac on the 1st. Heat element. As I purchase one from another supplier 2 weeks early from EBay was so short to reach the first element and wasn’t happy so I purchase one off eBay from EcoSmart . I just afraid to turn my heater back on now. I feel like they are sending out used parts. I installed my EcoSmart back in 2018 even after 2 1/2 years it failed . 1st element over heated blew the pex line wide open water everywhere’s. Flow sensor failed and had to replace element and 1st Triac on element. This unit is becoming a headache. I do regular maintenance every 6 month descaling the cleaning the elements and flushing the whole system . And again Jan 1st 2025 it happened again, Over heating and I even flushed the system just before this. Now I using a camp shower and bucket heater until I decide what brand is worthy to replace it with.

Direct fit for Eco Smart 27
After doing some research on why my Eco Smart 27 tankless water heater can’t seem to keep up with filling up the bath tub I came across a few things to try. Suggestions were to flush the system, replace this while in there, and install a flow restrictor. Did all of the above and made a real difference. This is a direct fit for my Eco Smart 27 tankless water heater. Easy install and wiring was a quick plug. I just used the glutes from this in the old housing so I wouldn’t have to undo the piping and it seems good with no leaks.
