Is this as thick as the hand cream?

No. It's actually light. Sometime I have to Apply a lot to feel the stickiness of it ð~ But iit really good ! I love it!

Does this test on animals?

According to the internet Gold Bond Ultimate is not tested on animals.

What is the percentage of urea?

Hi sorry so long in providing an answer. It actually doesn't say although it's the 3rd ingredient listed. I reckon it's between 5-7%. I have other creams I use that have urea for other parts of my body. For my elbows a cream with 10% urea. For my feet a cream with 30% urea. Check out Paula Begoun's review. That might help you.
