Having been gardening for over 60 plus years indoors and out in TX my advice to you is that if you’re going to invest money, time and energy into gardening soil only use Miracle Gro for superior results. They have soil for every plant variety imaginable. This one is an excellent all purpose soil for most pot plants. That being said: It really does . . . Help with moisture control but don’t overwater. More plants are killed by overwatering because roots can’t get oxygen. Using a simple moisture meter inserted into the pot helps get correct watering and light needs. Feed plants for up to six months before needing to start supplemental fertilizing. Promote growth in indoor containers of houseplants and herbs. Each bag will fill two 8” containers. Work very well with plants under grow lights. Two bags of potting soil were received in excellent condition with no moisture or noticeable mold and was fresh with no bad odors. It appeared to be insect free. Crumbled easily in my hands and was very easy to worth with. Bags were packaged well with no spillage. This was a very good purchase.

Best potting soil I’ve ever used. High in nutrients and plant, in or out, grow so fast. I owe that directly to the potting soil.

Works great, makes the plants happy again. I can tell because the leaves perked up and are greener than before. Controls the water really well. I haven't been having to water the plants as much as I was before because it seems like the moisture is being kept in the soil longer and not just running through to the bottom of the pot.

I’ve been using the Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix for my container plants, and overall, it does a good job at helping prevent both over- and under-watering. The soil feels light and retains moisture well, which keeps my plants hydrated longer than regular potting mix. That said, I noticed the drainage isn’t perfect—sometimes water pools a bit if I’m not careful with watering amounts. Still, it’s a solid mix for beginners and container gardeners wanting a bit more control over soil moisture. Would buy again, just would watch watering closely.

The bags are light weight and easy to store but they don’t have a seal on the bag to re-close them if you don’t use all the dirt. My plants like it!

I have been using this product for my indoor plants for years. I’ve tried others, but always come back to miracle-gro moisture control. It keeps my plants fed and healthy. Once a week watering and I have beautiful house plants. For worry-free plant care, you can’t beat it. I also love this size bag. I use a table inside my house for re-potting and the smaller bag is easy to handle.

Can't beat miracle grow! I blended this in to my lavender as lavender does not like wet feet! I mix this with sand to ensure good drainage and keep my lavender happy.
