Installed it in my car to an accessory fuse and it works fine. The install requires a hole about 1 1/8 inch diameter to fit into. The housing is solid, not plastic. If you hook it directly to 12 v and not to an accessory fuse it will stay lit all the time. I used a JABINCO12V Car Add-a-Circuit Fuse TAP Adapter Mini ATM APM Blade Fuse Holder I purchased on Amazon and connected it to an open accessory fuse. It can also be connected to an existing accessory circuit using the same adapter. Didn't take very long to install about 45 minutes including drilling the opening for it. It may take more or less time depending on where it's installed and how far the wiring has to go.

Installed in my F250 for cell phone mount. Overall it is long but works great. If purchasing for a Ford dash power point be mindful of the position you drill out. There is a bracket in the middle of the pocket aft of the center speaker. Great product. Works great

It’s easy to install and it charges my phone quickly while using the gps on-screen and listening to music. I like the color, aluminum casing, and port plug. Did not include a nut to lock into place. Be careful you don’t pull it out.

I like! Easy to install. Use a 1 1/8 inch spade bit or hole saw. It was a tight fit with my spade bit, but after filing the burs it slid in just fine. It comes in blue which matches my interior. The light on it is quite dim, really just bright enough that you can see the ports at night. I really like the aluminum housing. My one complaint is that the ports are upside down from the standard USB direction. I’ll probably end up flipping it myself and just having upside down lettering.

I installed it in my 2002 4Runner in place of one of the three cigarette lighter receptacles on the dash. After some minor modification with a step drill, the USB receptacle slid right in and I tightened it down. The install took approximately 20 minutes from start to finish on my vehicle. Now I have 3 USB ports and 2 cigarette lighter receptacles up front. I call it a win all the way around! The fast charging port does a great job as do the others! I definitely recommend this USB as a replacement.

Changed out a power outlet on my 03 Tahoe for this and it works great. Have constant power to it so no need to crank the truck to charge things with it. Going to add one more in the rear of my tahoe an a few family members wants me to put some in their vehicles too Only bad thing I can say which wasn't a big deal to me at all was the outlet was slightly bigger than the old one I replaced so I had to trim the opening some, an the part that screws onto the back was kinda big so I had to trim a little off the back of my panel. Been installed for a month now and no issues at all!
