Does its job cheaper than PoE switch.
Working perfectly for 5 Open Mesh access points. It feels a bit cheap and plasticky, but it's clearly labeled and doing its job, and at a much better price than a PoE switch.

Does the job without any issues
Excellent. Does the job intended. Although right now I use it to power one camera. I'll know more as I add more devices how it holds up.

Good buy, Good price.
Works exactly as advertised. Has the option to run live wires to it. Hooked up 2 IP cameras to an NVR recorder that has 16 channels, but 8 are LAN only. 2 patch cords and 30 seconds later, I'm happy.

it will get hot enough to boil water E) there is no good technical support F) sparks fly when you plug in ...
How can people buy this and not return it? Below is the actual letter that came with this product. This is an original icreatin product this meansA) there are no instructionsB) the Amazon description is not correct- there are no protecting fuses ( they claim 650 ma fuses - there are none )- the case is not metalc) the Power supply does not meet DoE class VI as required by lawD) DO NOT load the power supply beyond about 40 watts, if you do, it will get hot enough to boil waterE) there is no good technical supportF) sparks fly when you plug in powerG) it will not power Cisco 7940 and 7960 phones - and if you try, the injector internal capacitors will explodeThis is a very cheap product and that is why the price is so low if you want quality, or gigabit speeds, or training videos,or if you need actual expert assistance - please see [...]

Poor construction, bits of solder in the poe ports ...
Poor construction, bits of solder in the poe ports and overflowing from behind them, and it doesn't work if you don't have the plug in the power supply at just the right angle (it's loose even when all the way in). It does do the job, so for the price it's not terrible, but I wouldn't recommend it if you can afford anything better.

Works fine...but build quality is a bit suspect
Worked but I felt it was cheaply made. When I plugged and unplugged the power supply to the unit, it would always throw very visible sparks. That was disconcerting to me and didn't instill confidence as to its build quality. Not sure if that is the norm or l got a defective unit. Ended up returning it and getting a quality powered switch with built in PoE ports.

I HAVE THE POWER!
I HAVE THE POWER! Or at least your POE devices do. I use this to power my IP phones without any trouble. I have it mounted with double sided tape on the top of my rack.PROS: It works like it shouldCONS: I had to pay money for it. (seriously that's the only thing I can complain about it)

does what it says
This was an easy and inexpensive way to give POE to Camera's and devices, my only request would be a pack of 8 short (6 inch) cat 5 cables at a reasonable price to go with this. makes it work great when I Velcro it to my switch.
