Diary of a Wimpy Kid Mad Libs: World's Greatest Word Game

I purchased this for my 13 year old, lover of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. He took it with us on a road trip to Florida. He would ask his mom, dad and me for the words to fill in. We laughed when he read what story we created aloud. This is great for a child to do on their own or have family and friends join in.

So much fun. This was a great purchase. The stories are good, and relate to the books.

The quality of the paper is not the best; but can work around that. The "challenge" is to not have him look at the story while creating his word list ... so, copying the pages individually solved that problem since I could not find anything prohibiting me from doing so! Which I could have easily overlooked -- so, please verify yourself! Have not downloaded the app yet. Kept him busy for a while when we were ordering lunch! Charlie had no problem with creating the word list and I was actually amazed that he already knew all the parts of a sentence! He is an constant reader too.

My son loves inserting potty humor into these stories...he's 5. It's also a really good way to introduce young kids to words like "verb", "adjective", and "noun". We've only done 2 stories so far and it's already a hit! A fun activity to do during bath time. Kid gives the words, parent fills them in.

Fun times

If your child is a Diary of A Wimpy Kid reader, chances are he or she also has a strong imagination and sense of creativity. Put those to good use with this worthy addition to the Mad Libs amusing library of fill-in-the-blanks story books. Mad Libs are of course fun in pairs or group, but the titles aimed at younger participants also include an amazing modification to the traditional model - the ability for solo play. To accommodate solo play, each story is preceded on a separate page by blank lines to be filled in with nouns, verbs, etc. in a list so you can't see the story on the next page. Once you've filled them in you transfer them to the story page and enjoy. Although my son and I rate this 5 stars, it might rate 4 starts for someone not familiar with the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid books. You will lose just a little something of the context of the stories.

It's not a book actually it's kind of rip off writing pad, really disappointed.

My 10 year old asked for this. She’s had lots of fun and laughs while practicing her English without realising. She took it to school too to play along with friends. Definitely a good buy

The take paragraphs out of the book but they are not funny as mad libs at all. Regular mad libs would be better I think.
