Exhibits dangerous corrosion inside pot - avoid
I bought this a few weeks ago and was impressed by the construction. I boiled some black beans in it with water only. What I saw afterwards was a dull area on the bottom of the pot interior. I have seen this on very low cost pots in W--mart. I only use those for cleaning vegetables, not for cooking. The reason I take this seriously is that stainless (!) steel has heavy metals like Nickel and Chrome in it - If the Duxtop makers are using an inferior grade of stainless steel, I don't want those heavy metals in my food, not even in trace amounts. For comparison, I looked at stainless pots I have had for periods up to 5 years. They showed none of the "mange" corrosion that this Duxtop has. Only the very low cost pots referenced above show this. This is unfortunate, since the construction is good. But Duxtop needs to review their source of stainless steel. One must be vigilant today. So Im returning it.

Duxtop Delivers Again
I bought an induction hot plate several years ago with a set of pots and pans from the same manufacturer. Sad face. Pans passed the magnet test or so it seemed. Then I went through a series of "induction ready" (some expensive). More magnets, more sad face. I was about to give up on the induction idea. Gee whiz modern technology my eye. Then I tried a Duxtop saucepan (1.6 quart). Works great, really great. I've had it over a year and a half, almost daily use, blue non-scratch scrubbers, finish still looks brand new. But appearance is a minor thing. The inside has markings to show volume which is a nifty feature. There are never any hot spots due to the heavy bottom which is great since I suspect the cooktop may not be even.I recently bought a Duxtop sauté pan which I am just as pleased with. As you can see by the build up I've already used it a lot, often at high heat. This casserole is my third purchase. Each time I've bought a pan.I'll received an email urging me to contact the manufacturer for ANY problem PLUS how to contact Amazon. How's that for service and confidence?I've owned some of the more expensive anodized and stainless cook wares in the past. This stuff is equal or better than all of them. I will buy more when I can. Their prices make that possible as my circumstances have changed. I've bought hundreds of items through Amazon down through the years, very seldom do I post a review. I expect things to meet expectation with no need to comment. And I don't complain when they fail.Like the old ad said, "Try it, you'll like it."

Works great on my induction burner
I got an induction burner so I needed a new pot. I use it for pasta mostly. Water heats fast, clear top with steam vent is nice. Even though handles are metal, they don't get too hot when boiling water. So far so good. Been using for about 6 months now. I tend to wait to review things, because sometimes they fail after a few months. For me this was a good choice. Had a cheaper one and it was a disaster. So very pleased.

It's so beautiful, I gasped
It's so beautiful, I gasped! Just stunning. I fell in love with it's gleaming, shiny appearance like love at first sight. Only one other time did I feel like ths with a cooking vessel and that was with my Instant Pot.I primarily use my Instant Pot or cast iron but wanted one stainless steel pan, and originally thought I'd get the saucepan with the handle. I'm glad I didn't. I don't really have room to accommodate anything with a handle, so this was the best option. It's the perfect size; sturdy; glisteningly beautiful (did I mention that? LOL) and I love how the lid fits. I've only made one thing in it so far - hot cereal - but am looking forward to many things. The only possible 'negative' would be that the rim of the pot can possibly be sharp enough to cut your finger, so be aware that it does not have the usual rolled edge. Because I am aware of it, I'm not concerned, but a new cook, or one new to the pot might overlook it and it *could possibly* be sharp.I really love this pot and look forward to any excuse to use it. :)

Not sure if knock off -- but bottom is NOT magnetic
Purchased this specifically since it is designed for induction cooking - and thus the magnetic bottom. The reason I needed the magnetic bottom was for the Joule sous vide (so that it can attach directly). Not sure if I got a knock off cooking pot, but the bottom was *not* magnetic (or magnetic "friendly") as it was supposed to be.

RUSTED in less than 90 days!
I purchased this Duxtop stainless steel pot in June. As you can see, and with very little use, it’s RUSTING by September. They say it’s out of return range, so I guess I’m stuck with it, but this is unacceptable. I have numerous stainless steel sauce pans, bowls, pots and boilers, none have RUSTED!I’d suggest you purchase a more reliable brand.

Well Worth the Price, Excellent Pot.
This has got to be one of the best pots I have ever bought. I try to buy the best cookware I can for the money, which does not mean the most expensive, and I have pots that I've owned for more than 40 yrs. I even have pots and pans my mother bought in 1963 that are still like new. This pot will be one that my granddaughter will inherit and I expect she will be able to pass it down when the time comes. It is a nice weight, heavy but not overly so. Easy to clean. Even heating.Holds heat well. Very well made. Overall a wonderful pot that is well worth the price and then some.

My favorite pot
This is my favorite pot. I bought the Duxtop set and this wasn't included, but well worth the extra expenditure. It has a clear lid with vent hole, and the steamer from the set fits perfectly so you don't have to use the stock pot. Stay-cool handles and lid handle, and overall beautiful, classy design. There are engravings for each liter on the inside so you can even measure! Be sure to season it with heat and oil first. Heavy bottom for even distribution even with an electric stove. I never put my precious pans in the dishwasher so I'm not sure how that works, but it cleans easily after seasoning. Highly recommend!

Very unsatisfied
Sorry I will try to explain my situation as much as I can. am very unsatisfied with this purchase. I contacted the vendor asking if it was normal that, after using it for the first time that I have dots at the bottom. Even after washing it the dots are still there. Vendor said it was normal, it’s the water that causes the dots, recommending to buy a stainless steel and polish Product to remove the dots. I bought the product, dots are still there. I am not recommending it at all, way to expensive for quality of the product.

Great size
This pot is the perfect size for a larger batch of soup. Purchased it for my induction stove and it works perfectly. As an added bonus it appears to be well made and aesthetically pleasing. I appreciate the steam vent in the glass lid and it cleans up beautifully. It's a great addition to my induction cookware.
