Worth the money
Great target. Has held up well to heavy use with 45acp

Nice target at a nice price
Great target. Holds up extremely well to pistol calibers. Several thousand rounds of 9 and 45 with no pitting. The only minor quibbles that I can think of is the little flapper guy up top has popped out a couple of times, and gets stuck every now and then. That mounting system could be improved - round the edges and a retaining clip would sort it nicely. The original coating is thick and tends to chip out, which is really a non-issue since it ends up covered in layers upon layers of spray paint. 9.5/10

Works as advertised
Works as advertised. It was shot with slugs and 556 within 15-25 yards just to test it. Has a couple dings from the slugs and you can see the impact from the backside, but 9mm at 10 -15 yards it’s solid. Shoot within the advertised distance and with some paint it looks like new. No noticeable damage to the paddle or mounting welds on the first day of shooting over 1000 rounds. This defiantly makes shooting more enjoyable.

High-Quality Target – Perfect for the Range!
This target is top-notch! It’s built to last and holds up incredibly well, even after multiple sessions at the range. The visibility is great, making it easy to see shot placement, and the material withstands different calibers without wearing down too quickly.Whether for serious practice or just some fun shooting, this target gets the job done. I’ll definitely be purchasing more!

Solid target
Good target that has taken hundreds of rifle rounds so far. However, a notice if you are shooting steel core at it. If you hit the opposite side of a weld chunks will come out of it. I assume from the weld affecting the heat treatment of the steel. However, it isn’t enough to ruin the target or anything. Overall a solid target.

This is AR500, hey newbys, don't shoot with 556 at 20 yards, lol
Obviously this is some people's first purchase of ar500 plates. You can NOT shoot this with 556 and especially not with 62 gr (m855) lap green tip and not get divots (destroying) on your target. That's all ar500 steel. I have about 15 ar500 and ar550 steel targets of all varieties and they all do that. If you'd read the instructions, it says don't shoot less than 100 yards with 556. And LAP (light armor piercing) rounds have a small steel core and it's even worse. It's the velocity that kills ar500. Anything over 3000 fps basically. You can shoot it with about any handgun round close and 5.45 and 762x39 is moving slow enough to shoot it relatively close. So yes, if you shoot it with 300 win mag or 270, it will go through your ar500 targets and make it unsafe to use at close ranges. Even those divots from shooting 556 make it unsafe to shoot at close range.About this specific target, it is ar500 steel, there's no doubt. I shot it with handguns and 545x39 at close range and didn't dent or divot at all. It's a clever way to get a swinging hostage target. I bought two, the two smaller than 12x20. I have a ton of large full size silhouette plates, I needed some smaller ones. Again if your plate has dents or divots on it, you ruined it and it's only good for long range now. Those dents, divots and holes will be more much likely to ricochet. The flat (non dented) super hard surface is what makes the bullet splatter to the sides and up. When there's an uneven dent the bullet will come off the plate at unpredictable angles.....like back at you. Id be really careful if you're one of the tactical geniuses that shot youre plate with 556 from close range .....you just ruined it.
