Elastomeric Acrylic Caulk

This helped in my continuing pursuit of bronchitis and breathing issues. Will definitely order again!

This has performed fine for me as a general purpose exterior caulk. It's easy to work with -- it dispenses and applies smoothly (provided you use a good quality caulking gun), adheres well, sets up pretty quickly but not so fast that you don't have time to smooth it out/touch it up. Cleanup is easy with soap and water. It's paintable, but I can't speak to how well it takes paint since I'm not painting over it (the caulk is white and the window frame is also white, so no need to paint). It's impossible to know how long it will last until years have gone by, but so far it's been holding up strong. I've used many other Red Devil products in the past and all have performed well, so I am not anticipating any issues with this. Good value for the price.

This DOES take a long time to "cure." I had tried another caulk first and it cracked within a week. However, it is almost impossible to find a decent bathtub caulk, especially in an almond color. I had to use a fan for 24 hours to help it set. And, it's only been a few days since I installed it, so I'm not sure how it will last. But, as of right now, it seems OK. It does say on the tube that it takes a while to set, so I can't say I wasn't warned. But it does seem excessive. Why is it so hard to find a decent caulk anymore? It did arrive on time and in good condition, so I have no complaints about that or the seller. But....be warned. It does take a long time to set. And I've tried a lot of caulks that claim it won't mold, it always does...eventually. So, I have to redo it at least once a year.

Got this to help seal gaps and block sound from coming in. It helped out a lot. Not sure how many db but if you can’t afford green glue this is the next best thing.

Good product

I chose clear Red Devil Lifetime Ultra Premium for its protection against mold and mildew, to replace cracked regular latex caulk over the top edge of quarter round moulding at the base of my bathtub. It was thinner than expected during application, but it firmed up as well as a non-water-resistant elastomeric sealant I had used on baseboards in other rooms. I painted over it lightly after about an hour, and it held up fine. Mistakes were easy to wipe up using Windex. With temps as low as the 20s at night, there is enough temperature variation in the house to test the elastomeric qualities, and Red Devil hasn't cracked so far (less than one month). I'm impressed with elastomeric sealant in general, and this is now my top choice where water-resistance is needed indoors. I haven't tried it outdoors, so can't comment on that.

It’s a good product

I love 2 things about this caulk. The fact that it’s paintable, and that it goes on white but turns clear make it easy to use you can see where you’ve put the caulk, and then, using a damp rag, do the easy cleanup. It takes a while for it to dry clear, but it does. It’s really nice. I used it around my swimming pool area and on some outside tile.

Just opened this today needing to use it and to my surprise its white inside when it says clear on the outside, w t f.

It’s been 2 weeks after application. It’s sill mostly white, partly clear and soft. It’s easily broken and tore. How long do I need to wait for it being dried up?

The tube was marked clear but what was inside was white.
