Great light
I've used this light nightly for over 6 months now. Here's what I've learned:Pros:This light is very bright for it's size and it's costTough, I've dropped this light so many times and even accidentally ran it over. It's still working greatDecent battery lifeAffordableFits perfectly in the Blackhawk flashlight snap holster.Rear button (preference really)Rubber coating feels niceCons:Takes weird (and expensive) CR123A batteries.I loved the rubberized coating at first, but after alot of abuse, it tries to slide up and bunch around the button. This makes it really tough to press the button sometimes. I also have a cut in the rubber, which though it still functions, slightly bugs me. The rubber coating also makes it tough to retrieve from holsters or pockets. If you don't mind the CR123A batteries and need a bright flashlight that's tough and doesn't break the bank, this is a great option.

Probably the best general purpose flashlight in existence
ProsThis flashlight is exactly what flashlights *should* be. Well made, durable, simple (single-mode), the right amount of brightness and good battery life. Everything you need, nothing you don't.The anti-roll feature is smart, and the rubber coating makes this great for outdoor use in the rain.I'm sick of every flashlight on earth having 4 modes, a strobelight, programmable this and that... for the love of god when I hit the switch I just want a reasonable amount of light and good battery life with no screwing around! This light delivers that.Downsides:When screwing on the head, you need to BEAR DOWN and screw it down extra tight or else the tailcap switch won't work. Some people gave 1 star reviews because their light wouldn't switch on... this is operator error. Screw that thing down like you got a pair, it'll work.Rubber texture not ideal for pouches or belt carry. This is best thrown in a glovebox or backpack.Tailcap switch isn't the best out there, but it works

This Flashlight Rocks!
This flashlight rocks! Its super bright, has a good grip, luv the flattened ridge which keeps it from rolling away, is substantial but a convenient size, & although the batteries are a bit costly, they last long & are worth it. Used by a police cadet, its been an invaluable tool! Many thanks! P.S. works really well with this belt holster: Nite Ize Clip-On Flashlight Holster with Stretch Capability and 8-Position Rotating Clip - Durable Nylon Flashlight Holster for Belt Attachment with Full 360 Degree Rotation

Two Flashlights and neither worked
All I can say is very, very disappointed. I have a Streamlight Scorpion Xenon flashlight that I've had for years and I love it. I love the simple ON/OFF tail switch (none of this Hi/Md/Low/Flash for me) and it's bright and very reliable. I've used it in all types of environments and it has stood up to drops and other abuse and keeps on working. So there was no question what I wanted when it was time to purchase another. This time I choose the Scorpion LED model only because it has a longer run time (although the Xenon lasted a good amount of time), and the LED model is brighter, and brighter is always better. The flashlight arrived and it didn't work. I checked the batteries to make sure they were good and installed properly, but nothing. Sent it back for replacement and the second one had the same problem! What are the odds of two being bad? I really wanted this to work, so I even reached out to Streamlight just in case there was some trick to getting the LED to work, but no tricks. I returned it for my money back. The thing I'm most upset about is the poor quality control - they're not what they use to be, and now I've lost faith in Streamlight products.

Hands down the best flashlight I've ever owned.
The Streamlight Scorpion LED is hands down the best flashlight I've ever owned. It is super bright--brighter than all of my other flashlights put together. It uses lithium batteries, which unlike your standard NiCad AA and AAA batteries, they are not affected by cold weather. Also, lithium batteries don't die as quickly either. The flashlight itself is compact and is easily carried in your pocket or a bag with very little weight. It has an anti-roll feature, which you will at one point realize is an excellent feature to have. I have also even gone as far as to use this as a spotlight due to its intensive lighting ability. If you are looking for a dependable and powerful flashlight, I wouldn't look any further than Streamlight's Scorpion model. I love mine.

I like it
Its built well, the switch on the back is great for momentary or full on. Light has decent brightness. Excellent size as well. Very good light for the price.Update: Been over a year now, have had one issue where the light flickers, and had to clean the terminals. Otherwise, compact, pretty rugged and has been good to me for over a year now. Not the brightest, but for its size, its great to have in your pocket.

Good inexpensive light
I bought this light as a backup flashlight for work. It's very bright, the construction is sturdy and it feels good in my hand. I also bought a second one to mount to my rifle, works perfectly. My only complaint is that it takes CR123 batteries, which are hard to find good prices on (online), and they seem to run out of juice about once a month. Granted that's with regular use 40 hrs. a week, so maybe my standards are too high. Overall a good inexpensive backup or tactical light.

Scorpion light
Great light, really bright and casts a beam a long way. The CR123 Battery life waas disappointing.I bought this light to find scorpions and thought they would glow in the dark much like a black light.I now find there is "no glow" to the scorpions ... I had to find them in the bright light. To date I've only located one scorpion using this light. I have ordered a black light and maybe should have done that in the beginning. No problem with the light, just the scorpion locating application.
