Well, maybe not a life saver, but a eye saver, for sure!!I love this addition to my DIY router table and Yes, it has blocked splinters from hitting my face!! and it's cheap at that! compared to prescription safety glasses.... My only complaint is of my own doing. I routed and installed the T Track to high, before ordering and installing this little jewel. I believe in version 2, the top of my router fence I'll mount the T Track an inch lower.Highly recommend! It's very durable, too simple to install and extremely economical!!Thanks POWERTEC for this awesome bit guard!! Love it!!

Got this on sale for a router station I’m building. A little hesitant because of some of the issues people have brought up. The T bolts to hold it stationary to the table are too long and need to be cut down, or they will bottom out in the tensioning handles. Also, the screws for the dust collector port are too long as well. You will need a couple of thin washers to keep the threads from poking through and ruining your work surface. Yeah it does need a little tweaking, but definitely sufficient for my needs, especially on sale.

You need to add a few spacers to get a right angle.It is a bit annoying if you have to customize such basic parameters

The two pieces of MDF fence face were of different thickness. one was about 1/32 thicker than the other causing the workpiece to hit the outbound fence. I'll have to make my own before I can get on with my project. That is disappointing. This is my only complaint with this router table. It was easy to set up and mount the router.

Solid product. I built a 9-inch tall router fence with track higher up, so I glued a piece of plastic to the top of the guard to allow the guard to get lower to the router bit. It worked well. The guard is sized well for smaller fences.

This was a used product and when I received it it was all busted up on the inside so I set it back please don't send it back out to anybody else check the table
