Bought this for my 11-year-old son‘s old iPhone, previously the phone would show 100% battery and then be completely dead in 30 minutes. Install was easy minus the stupid glue strips on the old battery. It powered right on.

Maybe equivalent to original Apple battery. Just installed it (Sept 2025). Battery reading 100%. However, this is not the superior performance battery promised by the vendor. And it does not hold a charge for days as reported by one reviewer. So for now, because my expectations may have been unrealistic, 5 stars for maybe equivalent new Apple battery, and for very nice and needed tools. About installation, I carefully studied video instructions. This iPhone was a dog to get open. I carefully used a box cutter to break the seal. I don’t recommend it; it risks damaging internals. The battery removal strips failed as they did in most videos. I used an old charge card to slowly push under the old battery to free it. I recommend that method. But careful, I read there is a fire risk if the battery breaks open. (I had previously run the battery down to 1% to minimize the risk) My comment about the iPhone screws- really small! Used a jewelers loop. I found them difficult to reinstall, even with the magnetic hold of the tools. But 5 stars for the tools.

I put this in a family members old iPhone 6. He loves it. Works great. Days of use for him, up from less than a day (he isn't a heavy user as he uses an iPad extensively). Excellent. Best I have installed.

Opening and changing the iPhone 6 is both simple, and complex. A hair dryer is crucial for removing the old glue off. I had some problems with the phone not building a charge, until I re-opened it and re-set the connector squarely and then putting the metal cover back on. Once it worked well, I was extremely fast, and held on battery life for a long time.

The tape used to secure battery would not separate from backing. The same for the case seal. Assembled w/o seal.

After watching detailed video installation instructions, I installed the new battery easily. It’s working well at this point, but longevity cannot be known yet.

It arrived on time and where I asked for it to be placed. It was a great fit for the iPhone 6S (girlfriend). There is a YouTube video on what to do to replace. Many very small screws too remove. also be carefull of old and new battery because they COULD EXPLODE when removed if a metal object penetrates it. Watch video and heed warnings.
