I felt that I needed to change my original rating on the product. While it did fail, the vendor contacted me right away and offered a replacement or refund for the entire price. They were very considerate and wanted to do whatever would make it right. I guess that the failure of one item shouldn't reflect on the entire line. Mine could have been a fluke. I had to order another one, and it's working perfectly. Based on the replacement unit, I have to give this now a 5-star and just put it up to make things happen. The network goes up for a second and then drops. I plugged the main switches and the same thing directly into the back of my router. The vendor contacted me immediately and offered a replacement which is working great.

Bought to add ethernet functionality to a small form factor laptop that only had USB C, this does exactly what I needed and has a 3 USB 3.0 ports to boot. Plugged it in and was immediately detected. Connected an RJ45 and got the advertised 1000mbps. For the price, it's great value. Would recommend.

I took me a while to figure out why this hub device caused my M185 wireless Logitech mouse to become janky. When you plug in this Ethernet adapter, do so as far away as possible from other adapters, especially for radio frequency (RF) devices. My wireless mouse became janky before I moved the adapter to the other side of my laptop, where it hung down far enough to not disrupt the mouse dongle. Please read the section on the page under Usage Tips. USAGE TIPS 1. Make sure to use CAT6 or higher Ethernet cables, as lower quality cables will affect the internet speed. 2. This hub will not work with the Nintendo Switch but is very suitable for laptops without a LAN port. 3. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices operating in the 2.4GHz band may have issues communicating with your computer. Please try the following solutions: - Move your device and place it away from your computer. Ensure that it is not placed behind your computer or near the hinge of its display. - To avoid interference on the 2.4GHz band using Wi-Fi, try using the 5GHz band. Bluetooth always uses 2.4GHz, so this alternative isn't available for Bluetooth.

The adapter arrived on time and the price was superb because not only was it an ethernet adapter it had 3 USB3.0 ports too. I tested it on my laptop first. Note I have CenturyLink 1G fiber and am using a USB-C port on a 6 month old Dell Vostro laptop. See photo 3. Most tests had around 820Mbps down and around 220Mbps up. The last time I tested I got 840Mbps up! (see first photo). I bought this primarily for my laptop, but then I thought why not see if it worked on my Samsung S21 smartphone. I was amazed that it worked and connected to the ethernet without doing anything but plugging it in! I turned wifi off and ran Speedtest again. The first time I ran it I got 580 up/660 down. For a phone I thought was was pretty good! I waited a little while and ran it again. This time I got 495 down / 680 up! (See photo 2). While writing this review and while the adapter was plugged into my phone I thought to try putting a USB flash drive into the adapter. So I did. It also worked! So, I am very impressed. I could not be more pleased! Note: Since writing this review I have ordered 4 more!

WOW — for the low price of this adapter, one would not expect the quality and operational functionality it provides. This is your go-to device for those whose internal WIFI card is busted or those with an Apple Powerbook with two USB C inputs and NO hardwire Internet access. I have 970 MPS on my MacPro computer, and now, with this beautiful Vicome RJ45 Adapter (with its USB slots), I have 760 with the device connected to my MacBook Pro. I can recommend this device to anyone looking for a FAST USB Internet adapter without reservation! EC

Died after 6 months, just stopped working, ethernet does not show an uplink connection. It wasn't the switch, the ethernet or the computer (I tested), it was this adapter that stopped working.
