Failed Shut Down My Computer Used Too Much Power
Suddenly stopped working, lit up but no key response. Ultimately, it caused my computer to shutdown and not reboot (always scary) with an error of a USB port using too much power. I unplugged the keyboard, that didn't fix it, but ultimately I unplugged the cord completely from computer which solved the problem. Thus, I guess one could say the cord failed (which was one of the most difficult to plug in mini usb connectors I've ever used). However, after a year of use, the letter "E" was gone. Out of the box, it did some strange stuff with window key but that was fixed by unplugging, plugging. Hard to believe how many keyboards don't work. In the IBM days they worked forever, in fact that's what I had to find to get back to work. I would have loved for it to have worked as long as one of those keyboards, but it didn't. I guess I could get a new cord, but why and I'm still missing the letter "E."I did like the white backlit keys (hard to find) and the cheery MX Browns had a good touch for a typist, but a computer with a failed keyboard is a big metal (or plastic) box filled with useless electronics. Keyboards shouldn't fail.

Great keyboard with a few subjective minor drawbacks
Only had this keyboard for a couple days, first impressions as a Mac user coming from a Logitech gaming keyboard:PROS:- keyboard feels great to type on, love the brown switches- good build quality- perfect size, can keep mouse/trackball close- dip switches allow the perfect amount of customization and work well- customizable LED brightness- Fn media keys if so desired- flexible cable routing options- detachable cable- unlike a couple others, no manufacturing defects that i can see (LEDs, etc.)CONS:- though it's by design, the white backplate is distracting to me when the LEDs are on- not used to the number key design (numbers/symbols aligned horizontally instead of vertically), i find myself taking extra time to find the symbol i want. if i was a better typist this wouldn't be a problem ;)- if you're coming from a Mac keyboard or some gaming keyboards, the Fn key is on the "wrong" side and takes some getting used toOverall happy with the purchase so far

Expensive but worth the money
This keyboard is awesome, everything you need and nothing you don't. The price might scare you away at first, but if you type most of the day (I am a software engineer) it is well worth the money. The cherry mx brown switches give great tactile feedback but are no louder than my older Logitech wave keyboard.

Pleasant backlight, but DOA
I spent a long time researching mechanical keyboards before deciding upon this one. Ultimately, I wanted something that wouldn't take up too much desk space and allowed me to switch to a mac keyboard layout. The backlight was a bonus especially as my room has low light, as was the detachable cable. When mine arrived, I was disappointed for a couple reasons and was also pleasantly surprised.First, the "P" key on the keyboard didn't work and while it may have been a simple soldering problem, getting to the internals of the keyboard meant voiding the warranty to fix a problem that the manufacturer should have caught! Second, the keyboard would twang when typing which was subtle but a little obnoxious. Third, the keys/switches were louder than I thought even after testing a mechanical keyboard in a brick and mortar store as well as ordering a switch sampler. But this was my first mechanical keyboard and I think I would have gotten used to it especially with some practice not bottoming out the keys. I tried on an o-ring which helped a little but wasn't night and day.The blacklight is pleasant. Note that it would sometimes flicker when booting an OS. One reviewer complained that the light bleeds through. If you look at the keyboard, that's by design. You'll notice there's spacing between the keys and underneath the keys is a white backdrop likely to help reflect the backlight. I didn't find it a problem in my limited use. Another reviewer complained that the media key symbols didn't show through the backlight. On my unit, those symbols do shine through but at a lesser intensity. Some reviewers have commented on the detachable cable not working well. But the keyboard does have several cable routing configurations. I liked the idea of the detachable cable solely because I could chose the length of the cable I used to suit my desk setup.Ultimately, I after receiving it with a broken key reordering wasn't worth risking getting another faulty keyboard. Das Keyboards was my second contender, but they don't make a tenkeyless in the Pro model or S model.

Excellent keyboard; Cherry MX Brown keys are great!
Excellent keyboard!Thoroughly liking this keyboard, the Cherry MX Brown keys are perfect for me. I am a programmer, and have been using the Apple Magic Keyboard since a few years. I like small keyboards, and the Apple keyboard has very small arrow keys, and not so good tactile feedback, and so I recently tried my hand at a couple of mechanical keyboards.I compared the CODE keyboard with the Matias Quiet Tactile Pro 87-key keyboard, and I prefer CODE, as the Cherry MX Brown keys are a better fit for me over the Alps keys used by Matias, which felt harder to type with.

Great keyboard, with some manufacturing issues
This is a great mechanical keyboard overall. I would say that most people looking for a decent mechanical keyboard would be happy with this. However, I bought two of these, and there seems to be some manufacturing inconsistencies between the two. I feel that one of them has better tactile feedback, especially for the space and return keys, than the other keyboard. For the other one, the space and return keys feel a bit more mushy than I would have liked. Other than this one issue, I have no complaints about the keyboard itself.

Double check the switches after receiving the keyboard
Love the keyboard it has some really great features and works really well. One word of caution is to make sure you pull off one of the key caps and check the color of the switches. I order the Cherry MX Brown version and despite the box that it came in being also labeled as Cherry MX Brown the actual product has the Cherry MX Green switched in them so I did not end up receiving the product that I had initially order.
