Mr. Pen Thumb Tack, Flat Push Pins, Silver Thumb Tacks, 500 Pack

I got these for a different reason than most. My baby shower is baby dragon themed and I could not find any cute dragon eggs to use with my centerpieces. I saw on Pinterest where somebody took these flat thumb tack, painted them, and then stuck them into a Styrofoam egg to resemble scales. My first impression with these tacks is that they are uniform. I ordered the silver ones, and they are completely silver and have no discoloration at all. The tack part is nice and sharp. In order to paint them, I lined them up onto a cardboard box. They pierced the cardboard with ease. I had a few left over from my project, so I added them to my cork board and they hold up papers easily without sagging. This pack comes in a 500 count, so it would be perfect for an office space or a classroom as there are plenty. They come in a sturdy plastic holding case so there is no worry about having loose thumb tacks floating around inside your desk drawer. They function just like a thump tack should, and I have had no issues with them. I had at first bought a different brand when I first started this project and noticed that some of the tacks came with the push part broken off from the tack itself. I have NOT had this issue with this brand of thumb tack.

These are great tacks for making dragon eggs. Each pack had a few duds - heads separated from their bases or an odd shaped head, but most of the tacks were usable. Good product.

These tacks are exceptional. I'm using them for tacking retro material into 3 shelves on a kitchen cabinet. Color is very important for the project. They are matte without any shiny gloss, flat, and matches everything. They are the right size, not too wide, or small. I needed the tacks to go through the material and into wood and found that a little push penetrates the wood so that I can finish off with a hammer. They held up well, quite sturdy without distorting the overall flatness of the material. The ones that did bend occurred because I didn't place the tack head on - it was bent on my end. Although I won't use them all, I will use about a quarter of them and it's a relief knowing that I won't run out - I'll be able to replace them as needed. They really do add a posh, finished look to the overall project. I am so pleased to have found them. And when they came, I immediately started on my project. They are 'sharp' appearance wise, and already I'm deciding what color I want next.

Good amount, decent price, nice color, perfect size and length.

This is a good product for the price and the quantity is very generous - I doubt I'll ever have to buy pins again. On a few occasions, when pushing a pin with my thumb, the post broke through the head and into my thumb. I understand these pins aren't nails, so use caution depending on what kind of material you're pushing these in to.

Needed a solution to attaching magnetic strips to the wall. These are super light weight, but super strong. They blend in beautifully and it took far less than expected to attach the longer strips (anticipated needing 3 or 4 per long strip, had no bowing with only 2 pins. Didn't need a specific color, but massive bonus that I did get to pick!
