Super Mario Land [video game]

This seller was selling a Nintendo Gameboy and a bunch of games for the Nintendo itself. I emailed him with a request for only the games which he promptly responded to. We worked out a deal and I got all the games I wanted. Amazon said that I was supposed to receive them 2 weeks later but the seller sent them immediately and even emailed me the tracking number for the package which arrived 3 days later. I tested out all the games and they work flawlessly and look in great condition as promised. Quick and great service. I recommend this guy!

This game seems to work whenever it decides to, even after deep cleaning it. There seems to be a smudge on the cartridge insert that will not come off. Works best with my game boy, gbc it requires alcohol swab before inserting it.

My wife used to play this game on road trips when she was young, so having it now was pure nostalgia. She loved replaying it. To her surprise, she beat the game, then beat it on hard mode in about 2 hours (needless to say she is a much better gamer than she was as a child). The only lame thing about the game is that your high score, unlocking of hard mode, and the level select are all reset every time you turn off the game. Good game, good music, good memories.

My 12 year old son is in to classic games and games systems. We got him an old game it color with one game for his birthday so he needed some more games for Christmas. He is a big Mario fan and asked for this game on his list. He loves the game and plays it all the time.

As I said in the title, this game is very fun, but it is short and easy. I had never played this game before so when I got it I popped it into my GBA SP and to my surprise, I beat it in about 90 minutes. Here are some specifics. This game has 4 worlds and each world has 3 stages. As opposed to Super Mario Bros. on the NES which has 8 worlds and each world has 4 stages. In stage 3 of worlds 2 and 4, Mario is in a old style plane and the game becomes a shooter game. The jumping controls are a bit odd if you are not used to them, because Mario lingers in the air for a bit before he comes down. When you stomp you the koopas, you better get out of the way because their shells explode after a couple seconds. At the end of each stage, instead of a flagpole, there are 2 doors you can go into. One at the top of the screen and one at the bottom. If you make it into the one at the top of the screen, you get a bonus game where you can get up to 3 extra lives or a fire flower. Plus there are still bonus areas when you go into pipes and for some of them, there is an insane amount of coins. Overall, this is a very fun game with a lot of replay value.
