I used this part in my 93 Sea Doo fuel system rebuild. Years of neglect caused my fuel tank parts to dissolve. The fuel gauge sensor had issues years ago but I never worried about it. I rebuilt my whole fuel supply system this year and repaired the gauge sensor. (float and pcb repair) So far, it all seems to work just fine.

Rode ski twice after fixing fuel gauge and the gauge quit again. Turns out this new sending unit float filled with fuel and sank. No longer floats and reads fuel level. Had to tear jet ski fuel system back apart again which is not fun. Just to find out the brand new part is why the gauge failed again.

I installed this replacement float 2 years ago (2023) and it worked properly initially. Now this season I started getting intermittent fuel empty warnings even though I know the tank was half full. I removed the baffle again from the tank (oh what a pain that is) and measured the resistance. I discovered that due to the magnets in this float being too weak, as the float transitioned from one reed switch increment to the next, the problem would occur. I have now replaced the float with an OEM version that cost just $5 more and the magnets are much stronger. Problem solved!

The gas gauge on my Sea-Doo starting sticking and eventually didn't work at all. I guessed it was due to the float, and this new float fixed the problem. Fairly straightforward installation.

My old fuel float kept filling with gas. Popped this baby in and she reads perfect.
