This product is the absolute bomb to reduce the chlorine in your spa or pool. Somehow I boosted the chlorine way too high which also affected my ph and alkalinity. My chlorine was at 14 in my spa. 1 teaspoon reduced it to practically nothing so I can start over.

We are new to the world of caring for a hot tub, so finding the right balance of chemicals has been tough. When we moved into our new home, the previous owner left a smaller hot tub for us to enjoy. Our first test of the chemicals showed that the bromine levels were off the charts. Per a friend's recommendation, we tried leaving the lid open to see if some would evaporate on its own. That really did nothing. So I turned to Amazon for help and found this product. It took very little product and our bromine levels were back to a manageable level. We have since switched to using chlorine, and our first dose was way too strong, so in we threw a little of this product, and we were back to where we needed to be. I am very happy that it works both for bromine and chlorine, so we didn't need a separate product when we transitioned between the two. I am hoping to not make this product part of our daily routine, but am glad I have it on hand for emergencies.

After 2 weeks of stressful issues trying to lower extremely high chlorine levels, and other out of whack levels in my pool, desperation sent me to search for a product that could help. This is that product! I used it ONE time, as directed, my water was balanced perfectly!!! I am amazed! I am thrilled! I will most definitely purchase this product again. I would like to stress: Follow the directions on the package. Wonderful product!

Easy to use

I wasn't paying attention and let the bromine level in my spa get too high, so ordered this. It takes a TINY amount of the produce to reduce the level 10+ ppm in my 350 gallon spa. The amount the online calculators said to use drove the bromine level to almost 0. Also note, making the bromine go down makes the pH fall, which makes the bromine dissolve even faster, so be sure to adjust the pH shortly after using this.

Does exactly what it's supposed to... reduce the chlorine in the pool. We left our chlorine tablet floaters in the pool and spa too far into late fall and early winter (when the pool doesn't need as much chlorine) and we ended up super-shocking it. Following the instructions on the bottle, we've put in just a bit for each treatment, but after a few treatments, our chlorine is now down to safe levels. I'll be keeping a bottle of this on hand at all times just in case we do that again!

If you accidentally over chorinate or brominate your spa, this is the product you need. Instead of draining water and refilling to solve the problem, put a 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of this in the spa and watch the chlorine/bromine level drop. You don't need much of this product. Make sure to turn on the pump and/or airator to mix in thoroughly, and give it 30 minutes to work before you recheck levels.

It completly ruined my pool. Followed instructions and now my pools messed up and all cloudy i cant fix it. Have been trying for a while. Gonna have to empty and start over. Thanks. Waste of time and money.
