Great fit, great retention.
Great little hoster for a Model 642 Airweight J Frame revolver. Makes carry very simple and more importantly, safe! Nice product. Have to see how it holds up. But the initial quality is good.

Great Holster, especially for the price
Great fit and finish, holds the firearm nice and secure inside, and the Holster secures quickly and neatly to most any belt with just a tuck and audible *click* of the clip snapping over your belt, even when running, jumping, etc. Highly recommend this Holster for the guys/gals like me that still like the discretion and simplicity of a snub gun but don't like the hot and bulky leather holsters or the insecure and obnoxious elastic Holsters, but don't want to just haphazardly drop it into your pant pocket (although with this Holster, you can pocket carry with peace of mind!!!)

Bargain
Bought this for a s&w j-frame airweight, fit could be tighter, but one on a belt it is tight enough. Carry this appendix and 4 o'clock and it is super comfortable. Blade-tech actually places the belt clip beside the revolvers cylinder instead of directly on top of it which really helps reduce the thickness of an iwb holster. Recently carried for 16 hours straight and could forget it was there - driving, standing, walking. At this price, no brainer 5 stars.

Beware of the lack of passive retention!
Holster is a bit loose for the j frame. It protects the trigger, however there is little to no retention. It gains retention once you are wearing it, your belt compresses the holster better around the gun. However it becomes an issue any other time if you wanted to leave the gun in the holster , it takes very little force to have the gun come out of this holster. Also if you hold it upside down the weight of the gun will make it fall free from the holster. So it is not the most secure other than the fact it covers the trigger. It makes it decent to use as a pocket holster in regards to being easy to remove from the holster. Just be aware of the lack of passive retention.

Perfect for my use
This is exactly what I was looking for, an IWB (inside waistband) light weight holster with secure retention and belt clasp, for a .38 caliber S&W 5-round snub nose revolver. I have the aluminum Air Weight model and it fits perfectly; not so tight to cause difficult extraction; not loose enough to accidentally pop out. To remove the firearm, place your thumb on top of the back plate and pull up on the grip with 2 or three fingers, or simply give the grip a sharp tug. The clasp keeps the holster in place on an average belt. I read a few reviews that said their gun was loose in this holster, I didn't have that problem at all. Know your local laws about concealed or open carry when you are off your premises.

Uncomfortable, Bulky, and Brittle
I’ve worn this holster almost continuously for two years and I have 3 main points of contention with it. The first is that for an IWB holster this one is is unnecessarily bulky and “gun shaped,” especially the belt clip. It’s wide, square profile prints excessively under your shirt and it is not replaceable unless you’re willing to cut it off. In hindsight this holster basically removes all of the shape advantages which make small frame revolvers attractive as carry guns in the first place. Next, the “blade” of the holster is similarly unreasonably high and sharp edged. I started out wearing this in the appendix position but any kind of normal human movement would result in a painful stab in the gut, and I’m saying that as someone who is fairly thin. I ended up dremeling that bit down and rounding the edge to be a little more comfortable but be warned- this holster is not good for appendix or even 3 o’clock carry. Finally, while the Kydex initially provides decent retention, the fold line between the sight opening and the inside ‘wall’ of the holster is a pretty obvious stress point. After 2 years of use, my Bladetech holster developed a stress crack along that fold which effectively breaks it in half (see images). I tend to prefer Kydex holsters but in this instance I’m rethinking my choice as I’ve never had a leather IWB holster break in half the way this one just did. This holster probably looks like a good concept on paper, but it fails in every real world application.

Made in the USA. Extremely light and functional.
Works perfectly and weighs 1.5 oz. After years of leather and synthetic holsters, this is the one that's perfect. Thin, good retention, strong clip, and LIGHT. Made in the USA too. Don't let the low price discourage you; this is the holster to use.

Good cheap holster.
Used for my daily carry, I like how it clicks when the firearm is fully inserted and I’m not worried about it falling out of the holster. Throw it in my bag when I’m not carrying, and in my waistband when I am carrying. Feels comfortable and reliable.
