Can't beat the price. Made great. Hatchet sharp. A must for campers. Great deal, great merchandise this place is fair, and got good stuff. I would order again

I received my set about a day ago. I have tried the hatchet out on a few small saplings out back to see how it well it would do, and I am pleased to say that it handled very well. It is worth noting however that the metal seems to be very soft, as the act of chopping down one 2-inch thick branch was enough to deform the edge significantly. In order to keep this in good shape it will require constant attention, however it isn't meant to be an everyday use item, and the size, convenience, and price point make it more than worth it for me. All in all here is a breakdown of what I've run into thus far: Pros: Very compact Feels very solid, not cheap sheath seems well constructed, and doesn't get in the way if worn of the belt Cuts well, Great edge on both when I got them Cons: Soft steel, deformed quickly I would recommend this to a day hiker, or someone who takes short pack trips in forest areas. Nice and lite and doesn't get in the way. Not sure I would recommend this to a hunter or someone trying to field dress game, as I'm not as confident it would hold up to the demands for very long.

I like what you get in this package for the price. The axe and knife fit cleanly into the dual-sheath. The axe was fairly sharp out of the box. The knife needed a little sharpening. I like the handles. I'm going to put this item in my camping backpack. I don't expect to cut down trees with the axe, but it will split small amounts of wood nicely I imagine.

No matter what others say about how great it is, the fact is this hatchet is 10 inches long. Looks like a toy, not long enough to get a good blow at anything. Dangerous kicks away from any wood over 2 inches thick. The knife and sheaf are fine, but the hatchet needs to be longer!

These knives are strong and come sharp as can be out of the box. I like the sheath too! Stays in my BOB and will be used mostly for hunting/camping needs.

i bought this to add to my collection of fishing gear. i've used the hatchet to help chop up larger bait, the knife for gutting or cutting smaller baits. they held up just fine. i also used it to help gut and chop up a larger shark and stingray that i landed off the pier. i'd be hesitant to use it while hunting, but as long as you're not rambo, these work fine. for the price, this is a solid set

there was a nick in the blade, but still good deal. sharp and worked well for what I needed. will try and sharpen the bad spot out

hunt and fish all the time and i needed a new guthook knife. well this worked beautifully. the hatchet was amazing.. made processing the deer easy.. loved the included belt pouch.
