Copy of Sonnets in good condition
I liked the detailed information on the Sonnets. They fall into two sections: those written to a fair youth and those to a dark lady. The Sonnets suggest Shakespeare could have been bi-sexual and probably helped his income during plague years when the theatres were closed.

This makes it very easy to work out what Mr S is saying
I bought this as I wanted to understand what each sonnet meant as the language can be a bit convoluted. The sonnet is on the right hand side of the page and the meaning of the words on the other. This makes it very easy to work out what Mr S is saying. I would recommend this book to anyone who is studying Shakespeare or just wants to understand his beautiful sonnets. The explanation makes them come to life.

The best and most authoritative edition
The best and most authoritative edition. Contains variant interpretations, explanations of mysterious lines, and commentary. Introduction is worth the price of admission. Bought for a professional translator who needed to know shades of meaning and exact details, and the Arden -- as it always has for Shakespeare's plays -- delivered. Beats out the Oxford and Cambridge, if you only want one edition.

Definitive work on Shakespeare’s Sonnets.
This is the definitive work to read alongside Shakespeare’s Sonnets. It gives a scholarly interpretation and explanation of each sonnet. Excellent and superb support for some of the arcane language that is encountered.

Wonderful
Beautifully produced, each sonnet is described fully, the usual Arden high quality, the sonnets themselves nicely displayed on separate pages with the note bookmarks not overwhelming the elegant textual layout.

Most academic edition of the Sonnets.
Do me a favour! It's Shakespeare! Probably the most powerful collection of poetry in the known universe! I sent a copy to a relative. I have my own from about 30 years ago.
