I bought this product for my husband and he hasn't used it yet however I switched on and it works well.

This is a truly brilliant piece of kit with excellent features, but the claim of 200m measurement is, at best, under perfect lab conditions. I spent an entire day trying to get a 160m reading that had to be accurate withing a few millimeters. It simply doesn't work in daytime, under normal lighting conditions. Even when we tried to use a mirror to reflect the laser. Add to this that you will definitely need a tripod in order to keep it steady and you will also need to use the bluetooth app as pressing the measure button for measuring distances greater than 50m produces a significant shift and wobble in the laser beam no matter how much you try and anchor it. I had it on a stake of wood in a field and it simply wasn't stable enough. But with a tripod for the greater distances and a real world usable range of up to, at most, 80m, this thing is a beauty and well worth it.The Joyplan bluetooth app is shockingly bad. It crashes, it requires suspicious access permissions to your phone such as the ability to make phone calls and it's a Chinese app with only a few bits of it translated into English. None of the messages are and none of the error messages either. All it can really do is connect to the device from Bluetooth, that's about it.

Seems to be good and accurate

I am writing this review after only having this unit for 2 days!I have tested all the impressive 17 features it has against high end callipers and spirit levels and the likes, and so far it is dead on to the mm! Very impressive indeed!If I had to pick out the things I don't like about it, there would be a big fat 0!If I were to really nit pick at it I would say one thing it could do with is a higher end camera and maybe also a retractable spike that pops out at the rear of the unit so it can get right into corners or small holes etc like some of the Bosch units etc have. Other than that I think this is a great unit for the price and you'll be hard pressed to find better around the £100 mark!Hope this helps, you wont be disappointed!I would highly recommend this unit! 5*'s

instructions are a little on the light side?

Accuracy? seems to be very good - agrees with my old and very expensive Bosch.Camera facility seems superflous at first, but is occasionally very useful.Has lots of operating modes that are very functional.Only cons- The tripod mount is in an odd place- Battery life could be better - BUT easy charging and being able to use plugged into power brick is fab.- On very short measurements I think the accuracy may be 1-2mm variable.

Very moody equipment takes few readings to get a proper reading. Still have problems reading in a bright sunny day.

Unlike most, this equipment is accurate and fast responding when measuring distances. It stores the data in an excel spreadsheet which is useful. It is worth learning all its features in order to make the most of it, however the battery charge lasts about two hours from full charge, therefore always be ready to recharge it.
